    • Perfect for my use but I had an annoying noise
I purchased this for installation in the back of my 2-door Jeep in place of the rear seat. Perfect size and I used some angle brackets and J bolts to mount it direct to the seat mounts. It is a safe, secure place for tools and parts. If this was mounted outside, this would not be an issue but there is something - I assume a pop rivet - loose inside the stiffener box that is welded to the underside of the lid!. It slides back and forth when I turn corners and since it is right behind the seat that is VERY annoying. At first I thought the noise was caused by the limit chains. The Jeep seats limit the opening travel, so I cut and removed the chains but the noise persisted. Rather than drilling a hole in the stiffener, I glued a neodymium magnet to the bottom of the stiffener, hoping that whatever is in there would be ferrous. Apparently it was and the maddening noise has stopped! ... show more

trailer case is a great addition...seems sturdy but came dented and scratched. Just happy to have a place for my tools and quick access. Installation was simple.
