  • So easy to use !
I am now the proud parent of 3 Mason jars of dehydrated veggies ! Using the advice from a Youtube video I bought a 2 lb. bag of frozen green beans and a one lb. bag of baby peas for my test run. ( all the prep work is already done ) In all the instructions I've read there is a wide range of processing times and my test run proved that. I had to add an additional hour to the dehydrator to achieve doneness ... but that's part of the process. The only suggestion I would give a prospective buyer is to purchase the silicon liners to place your product on ... As they dried the baby peas fell through the slots to a lower rack and I had to sort through the beans and peas ... My next veggie experiment was zucchini using the silicon pads ... It did a great job if I do say so myself ... The finished product looked prettier than the photo in a dehydrator book I had just purchased. Tomorrow the mushrooms and celery ! Very happy with my purchase ... ... show more

  • works great
I wanted to send a picture, but can't find my camera. That being said, I got this dehydrator in 2018, I didn't like it then, but after seeing a video on You Tube, it turns out I didn't know that there are is a lot to learn. I was all gung ho and started making a bunch of things. What I learned is that dehydrating books don't tell you is that you have to dry foods often longer than the suggested times. I got some blueberries and it said to dry them for 12 hours, and the video said that depending on the power of your machine, the climate you live in, and the types of items you are trying to dehydrate may take a lot more time. I tried it on some potatoes that I mashed and made powder for mashed potatoes. The blueberries are still in the dehydrator. Last time when I made potato powder I didn't break down the dried product into a fine powder that would hydrate without lumps. So I hope that this will help those that feel like the machine didn't work right or blame themselves. There is one woman on You Tube that explains the details of different projects, from easy ones, and for a persons that has more knowledge. I promise I will come back with pictures of my projects, and name of the You Tube video. Lastly I love the humming noise of the machine, when I am up, and at night the machine is in the next room, and I can't hear it at all. I live in an apartment that isn't all that big. UPDATE; The pic of the carrots is about four carrots, I used the very thin blade to slice the carrots, and they took about 10 hours. The blueberries took about 24 hours, and the powder you see is put back because it wasn't completely dry. The blueberries will sound the same as if you put some beads in a jar and shook it. The carrot slices were , about the size of a dime before being dehydrated and were paper thin. The name of the You Tube video, is The Purposeful Pantry. There are many more videos on this subject. Warning, If you live in an apartment, dehydrating onion and garlic will smell up too much. So the neighbors might get upset. Update: I order another dehydrator and the lid came broken. Cannot get the cover from the company, emailed and no answer. Don't companies have customer service anymore? ... show more

  • Works well. Trays aren't very secure.
This is my first dehydrator purchase, so i don't have a good basis for comparison. Everything works well, temp ranges from 125º to 165º, and the included info for fruits/veggies/jerky is useful for this first-timer. I've made some tasty snacks so far (mangos, kale chips, vegan jerky, etc). My only complaint is the stackable trays aren't really that secure, and the slightest bump from something else in the kitchen can jostle them loose and they'll need to be reseated. It's not a huge issue, though, especially if you can place it somewhere out-of-the-way. It's a bit loud, but I assume that's standard for dehydrators. If you work from home, you might want to run this overnight instead. ... show more

  • Awesome dehydrator
I was worried after reading reviews that this was gonna be super clunky and noisy. But I had a smaller budget so I just went ahead and purchased it anyway. I honestly have no complaints. Very minimal noise and I love that it shuts off automatically. I've used it almost daily and I would recommend it to others. ... show more

  • Easy to use
My unit arrived fast, but had a crack in the top corner lid. They replaced in 4 days. It was packed extremely well and was probably cracked prior to packaging. I dry mushrooms w/ it for 8 to10 hrs at 125. Works great, bottom trays won’t easily hold big caps tho. I have two. I like em for the money.

  • An excellent machine
I have been using this dehydrator for several months. I couldn’t be happier. I have dried everything from tomato skins, to garlic, to mangoes, and anything else you can think of. I even made my own raisins. My only issue is that I can’t find solid trays - it only comes with one. I want more. I was able to buy mesh mats, which I use all the time and they are amazing. This is an outstanding machine for the money, and gives you endless possibilities. ... show more

  • Noisy but good
It’s a good brand, but takes too long to dehydrate jerky beef, and while taking all that time it’s making a lot of noise, not a good idea to leave it during the night because you will hear its noise! The jerky beef came out good tho.
