  • It takes a learning curve.
Color: Grey
The product was not misrepresented. The color an exact match to the one advertised. I am still learning how to use it so it will not be wrinkled.

  • Works on glass
Color: Black
My review is based on my experience using this marking paper on glass with my Xtool laser engraver. I don’t work with ceramic so can’t speak to that, but can confirm it works on glass. I did a test run on a bottle because the paper doesn’t include any instructions so I was tinkering with the laser settings. I normally use the paint method for etching glass, and this marking paper is a quicker and cleaner way to prep glass for etching - but more expensive than the paint method. The main difference is I actually get a smoky tint to the etch, so it shows more than the etch I get with the paint method. I’m not optimistic I’ll get a full black etch on glass, but wouldn’t expect to (based on my experience working with glass) so it’s not a reflection of the product. I took a star off because the instructions just aren’t great. For example, they say to use the plastic spatula to remove the bubbles but you can see in the picture how badly it ripped when I used the provided tool. In subsequent tests I just applied the paper with my fingers and it worked just as well. They also say to use the spatula to remove the paper after use, but I found a good rinse and a little rubbing did just as well. Overall a good alternative to the paint method of etching although more expensive than paint, ... show more

  • Yes, it marks, but not the color claimed
Color: White
I like that it marked the glass, however I bought the white marking paper as that's what was specifically requested by my customer. This is definitely not a white mark. I did a test grid on it to see if maybe my settings were just too high, but it either didn't stick to the glass or it marked black.

  • Too expensive
Color: Black
Does a great job but 20 bucks for 2 sheets, that's absolutely absurd! You can do the same thing with cheap $0.88 bags of Walmart tempura paint thinned out and allowed to dry on your target object. Cheap black walmart spray paint works great on slate too. These people are taking you all for a ride.

  • Very cool idea
Color: Black
The single sheet of engraving paper is easy to handle and cut. The paper I got was black which was perfect for the clear glass mug I am applying the image to. Applying the black color paper is simple, just soak it in water and slide it off the backing paper onto the glass – much like applying a decal to a plastic model. The paper can get a little finicky so caution is needed when applying. I have an Ortur Laser Master 2 but it should work with most other diode lasers or better. I think this is a pretty cool concept and look forward to using the remaining paper on a couple different projects in the near future. ... show more

  • Mixed review
Color: Black
Not working as intended as I have yet to get a clean engraving and adhesion and very flimsy making it difficult to work with as it tears so easily. I'll keep experimenting but thus far I'm underwhelmed.

  • Great for personalizing
Color: Black
This engraving paper is a great way to imprint onto hard surfaces using a laser engraver. It works great with my Creality Falcon 5 engraver. Cut the size needed and soak in water to remove the backing layer. Apply color film to the surface being engraved / printed. Dry thoroughly. Engrave the design with the laser. Remove excess film, leaving the engraved design fixed onto the surface. The package included two cut to size sheets and an instruction sheet. (See pic) I’m planning to personalize some glassware as holiday gifts. I hope this information has been helpful. ——- This review is for: Frddiud Laser Engraving Marking Color Paper, 2 PCS Black Marking Paper, 15.3" x 10.4" Laser Engraving Paper for Fiber Laser Marking and Engraving, Laser to Engrave on Metal, Ceramics, Glass (Black) ... show more
