  • Works perfectly
Works perfectly and did not break the first time I used it like the Food Saver one did.

  • Very good
It works well with my old Food Saver vacuum sealer. My other hose I’ve used for so many years that it was so stretched out and was not sealing very good. This one works like a charm!

  • Does NOT work on all Foodsaver appliances with accessory port!
As reported recently by another reviewer, this hose does not work with my FM2100. It inserts loosely into the accessory port but does not snap into place the way the hose from the hand-held unit that is actually packaged with the FM2100 does. It is obvious why this is so when you visually compare the end of the FAX12-000 to the end of the hand-held unit - the latter is tapered down to a smaller diameter. No matter how hard you push with the FAX12-000 it will not snap into place and in fact pushing hard will probably at some point mess up the port. Another Amazon reviewer suggested the Foodsaver part number 176873-000-000 available directly from the company (for only $3, I might add!) and looking at the picture on their website I can see that one end is just like the hand held unit's connector - tapered and colored green (the other end is like the ends of the fax12-000, equipped to fit into the mason jar sealing top accessories). I just ordered this 'bipolar' accessory hose directly from the company (Amazon doesn't carry it) and will report back if it does not work. I am highly confident that it will. AMAZON: you MUST remove the tag under the product name that says "Fits any Food saver appliance with an accessory port". This is true only in the sense that you can INSERT it into the accessory port - however it wobbles and does not come close to holding the vacuum. FOODSAVER: You have a great product line although why there have to be so many different models is beyond me. And why different connectors for different units? It seems unnecessary and is certainly confusing. ... show more

  • Works perfectly with Nesco VS-02
I bought this to allow me to use FoodSaver brand jar sealers with my Nesco VS-02 vacuum sealer, and it works perfectly. It works exactly as you'd expect, so there's not a lot to say about it, but I was happy that it fit my sealer. To use with the Nesco sealer: insert one end into the vacuum port insert other end into the accessory close the vacuum chamber on the sealer (as if you were sealing a bag) when ready to seal, press the canister only button wait If it doesn't stop automatically after about 20 seconds or so (you'll hear the sound changing as vacuum builds), press cancel. I've seen a lot of people talk about how to use the jar sealers and other attachments, and they always mention pulling the attachment at the sealer end to break the vacuum so that you can remove the attachment. If you're going to be sealing multiple jars in a row I find that it's much easier to just open the bag sealer area by pressing the two gray buttons, which releases the vacuum. You can then remove the jar adapter from the jar, put it on the next, re-close the vacuum chamber, and seal another -- basically the same workflow as sealing bags. If it matters to you (a gift perhaps?), note that it comes with very minimal packaging, basically just a hose in a plastic bag. ... show more

  • This tube will NOT work with the hand held Food Saver.
First I bought the jar lid sealers thinking they were a "pump action" independent tool. Nope, they require a suction device so I ordered the hand held suction device to go with the jar sealers. That sort of works if you're careful to hold it down on the jar lid device and be very careful taking it off. But I thought it would work better with the tube to connect the hand held Food Saver with the jar lid sealer. Nope, the tube connector fits fine with the jar lid sealer but will not connect to the hand held Food Saver. So now I guess I have to buy the large (expensive) Food Saver in order to have the whole deal. I really didn't want the large device to have to store when not in use. In a nutshell: The jar lid sealers will not work alone. The hand held device works great with the special zip lock bags (2 come with it). The tube evidently connects the large Food Saver appliance to the jar lid sealer - we will soon find out. What an adventure! All I really wanted to do was seal jars with dry or cold stuff in them. ... show more
