The media could not be loaded. Edit: So I requested for a replacement yesterday and it came today. I put up the lights and it’s amazing!!! I love how they quickly got me a replacement. The lights are amazing!!! Ok so I got these and I was really excited to put them in my sisters room. I tested them before doing too much. They worked. But once I was done putting them up on ceiling one of the strip didn’t work. I put all the hard work of sticking it up top and then all my hard work went to waste. So half the room is lit up while the other is not. But on the other note. The one strip that did work. Is pretty good it’s really bright and the adhesive is ok it’s not that strong. While putting them on they seemed to unstick. I had to go over it again and press. I did everything according to the instructions. Apart form the one strip not working and my hard work going to waste. It’s great. I wish the one strip worked. I want a replacement so we’ll see. I am not going to undo all my hard work and return the whole thing. I will just return the strip that isn’t working. I just need that one strip that’s missing. ... show more

    • Defective output on a two-output IR receiver - update: IR receiver is fine

Product was not working correctly (one of the outputs on the IR receiver was defective) so we ordered another set so we could use both of the original strips that were already mounted on the wall. Swapping the receiver outputs to the opposite light strips had not solved the problem. When we got the new light set today, I swapped out the old two-output IR receiver for the new one and the set worked perfectly. I'll use the old IR receiver to mount a single light strip in another room, and we'll have an extra light strip for a spare. No refund needed - just wanted to report this defective part of the light kit. UPDATE: While working on installing our older light strips (as reviewed above) in another room, I read the directions more carefully and found that I probably did not line up the arrow on the light strips with the arrow on the input cord. While testing the new set that we bought, I used the older IR receiver and found that both IR output cords do work. Sorry for the mistake. Bought these for my older sister to make her stay at home “dorm room” a little more fun. Setup was surprisingly easy. The adhesive as very sticky, so I didn’t need to worry about sections falling off as I was putting the strip up. I bought the 50ft not waterproof kit (as they are indoors) but always measure what you are planning to stick them to, and choose length beforehand. Better to get extra then not enough as you can cut the end off the strip, and it will still work. Upon plugging them in, the brightness and colors are great, the only color that could use a touch up is the white, as it has a bluish tinge to it. But still looks very good. Now for the remote control. I would really like to see more effects, as there is only really color fade and strobe. Also might be nice to make it controllable via mobile device, I’d be willing to pay 5 bucks more for that feature. My main criticism for this product is the chord length. If your outlet is the standard height close to the floor, good luck getting the lights to the ceiling without straining them down the wall, as the cord is just simply not long enough (may be enough for some). Not to mention that there is a massive black block halfway through the cord that is about 2 x 4 x 1 inches. And if you’re mounting the lights high, it will just dangle and messes up the aesthetic. Though I was able to hide it behind a dresser/mirror and support it behind. Ideally, you would make the cord going to the brick shorter, and make the part coming out to the lights longer. So that the block can be resting on the floor, and the cord goes up from there. Even if your fine with a dangling block, the weight of it may pull the lights off of the wall after a while, or take the cord out of the white led plug thing. But if you can find a way to hide this and support it (you could even do this with some duct tape or something, extension cord also works) these lights look great. I give this product a 4.5 for price. A 4.5 for led quality. and a 3 for controller and cable management. Overall, I give this product a 4, as if you support the block, these lights are easy to setup, include everything you need to make the lights function, come at a great price, and the lights themselves look fantastic. ... show more

Worked for about 2 months and now they flicker all the time. After being one for about 30 minutes they flicker and change to a red/orange color. The AC Adapter burns to the touch and it seemingly works different in different outlets? (Doesn’t seem to be an outlet issue, other things works just fine). I have to physically unplug the strips at night else they will flicker (even in the off state using the remote) until they eventually turn back on. I’m very disappointed and have tried troubleshooting but I can’t figure out the problem. I will most likely have to buy new ones from somewhere else and replace them. ... show more
