The media could not be loaded. I got this lava lamp to replace one I bought and returned to a local retail store. The one I had was also blue liquid but it was murky-ish. Not this beauty tho! The blue liquid is so clear and the color of the yellow wax really pops! First time I turned it on, it only took about an hour and a half to get going. It’s so relaxing to watch! I was skeptical at first. I’ve had lava lamps before that never worked. First night I turned this one on, ran it for 12 hours straight. Nothing. Just a blob at the bottom of the bottle that never moved. Second night turned it on, within 30 minutes it was up and moving. Worked great. I had read online it can take some time to get it going properly. You need to do a couple on/off cycles to warm it up. I use this as a nightlight in the bedroom. The light from the lamp lights up the room in a soft blue glow, while the lava bubbles n floats in the bottle all night. Love it! ... show more

Ordered this for my son for Xmas and it worked fine for the first 3 days, but he turned it on today and a spring (I guess it’s a spring?) is now loose inside the lamp. No longer works. And of course we threw the box away so probably can’t return it now. Maybe this was just a faulty one? But if you do order one, be sure and keep the packaging for a while just in case. ... show more

We got this lava lamp for our son for his birthday. We are new to lava lamps, and at first I was nervous about some of the wax that seemed to be stuck on the side. I was also not sure at first if it was going to be as cool as I was hoping as the wax was not moving as much in the beginning due to it still being heated by the bulb. However, not long after we got it going, it was working exactly how I was hoping it would work! We have been super happy with it. Not long after having it, however, my son accidently broke the bulb. I ended up contacting customer service in hopes of purchasing a replacement bulb, knowing the issue was due to our own fault not the company's. They responded right away and were incredibly kind and easy to work with to replace the broken bulb! This lava lamp was a little more money than some of the other options we were looking into but not by much. We chose this one because we wanted this color combo over the other slightly cheaper options. We have no regrets and have been very happy with the purchase!
