Second update 10-20-2022: Daybetter just sent a second set of lights and these seem to work as they should. Easy to setup Wi-Fi and light scenes now work. The scheduler works like a charm and is nice to automate. Daybetter seems to stand by its products and they seemed concerned that I was a happy camper and had resolved in 3 Days. Thanks Daybetter! Update 10-17-2022: DayBetter just got with me and are sending out a new set. I will update my experience with the new set after I get setup again. I was really impressed that DayBetter contacted so quickly, maybe I should have just emailed the seller but Amazon said item could not be returned. I was really excited to get these and try out. We just purchased a new home and now have a man cave to decorate. Setup was easy and the adhesion was good. The bad thing about these lights is that they have no way to add another roll easy without splicing with a kit sold separately, and they should have a 4 prong female plug on each side with a 2 sided male to connect and should come with a 6 foot white extension cord so dont have to run lit lights up corner of wall. It took one roll to go half way around room, then I purchased a link kit and the other roll lit up ok. For a couple days! After a week the red started looking like pink a foot from where power connected then they started turning different colors even though I selected red. When selecting blue I got green, Blue and yellow which was strange. Another week went by and now they dont work at all. maybe the set was a bad one, I dont know but sucks to only have working for 2 weeks for 30 bucks and 10 bucks for link kit. I was expecting more as they looked better than most light sets. Live and learn while companies get rich off of defective toys...! ... show more

When I bought these lights the descriptions and details did not specify that the lights needed to be attached to a device or switch to work. I bought these because the description said they could be cut. So, I cut the first strip that I needed then I was left with a large roll of lights that now don't work. I didn't know how the lights worked and the instructions in the box did not make it clear that once you cut the lights, the remaining lights are essentially useless (maybe you can splice it together with another switch if you know how to do all of that, but I don't so this was a wasted purchase!). **UPDATE** the seller offered me a full refund and assistance on how to use the strip of lights cut. You do have to buy four pin connectors and the adapter box/cords for cutting to work. They were truly great to work with. They still work, but make sure you cut on the three gold lines! ... show more

These lights were purchased on prime day and were a great value for the price. Tons of colors to choose from, I like how you can change the brightness which makes them great night lights for kids and adults. I have a small bedroom yet they almost made it all the way around the ceiling. The presets are customizable in many different ways. There are built in presets in the app, the range on the app in incredible. They stick to drywall pretty well but sag in some spots but I just press on them hard and they stay put. Great quality. Used one roll for the perimeter of the ceiling and have yet to install the second roll. Remote does need to be pointed directly at the receiver to work but you can use the app anywhere within Wi-Fi. ... show more

These are definitely really cool. They are easy to set up (although it may take a while to get them in place) and after stick to the wall well. Is able to fully light up my bedroom without much of a problem. Only complaint, the remote control provided sometimes has trouble working (I don’t think the range of the signals it sends is very far). However, overall I would have to say that this product is a very good deal for the money and the app is amazing. So many different “themes” to choose from-very fun! I have had the regular non-Alexa compatible LED light version from the same seller, and the app used for these lights is evidently much better quality and works super well. Best part-no Alexa needed! Although it would probably make it even more fun, it also works just fine with the phone app. Overall, I would rate a 4.8 stars out of five stars, only for the sake of the remote control not always working. For the price, though, it would be unfair to expect it to be perfect. (rating rounded up to 5 stars since Amazon doesn’t allow fifths of a star). ... show more

    • Review for 100ft version; NOT 100ft, but two 50ft strips; lights are good, adhesive OK

From the description, this SHOULD have been one long, 100ft strip of LEDs (or AT LEAST two 50ft strips that can be connected end to end), but it is not. Two, 50ft strips, that cannot connect end to end, and strips both need to be connected to the control box. So, if you did want to cover 100ft in length, the control box would need to be in the middle of that span. Adhesive is not great. We used isopropyl alcohol to prepare all surfaces that the lights would stick to, held each section to the wall for at least 10 - 20 seconds, and the whole strip fell down over night. Re-applied the strip, but added some double sided tape in strategic places to assist in adhering the strip to the wall. So far, so good. Lights are great. Very bright, and my son likes them. Too much hassle to return them now. ... show more
