This is another LED strip light that has a lot going for it. It is a little pricier than some of the other options, but it also offers quite a bit more length as well. They are much more affordable than Philips Hue options and they come with their own app that allows them to be controlled by Alexa or Google Assistant. You get two reels of 32.8ft. With that, there is a power module with built-in Y-split to go to the two reels with and an AC plug break-out, two reels of double-stick foam tape (extra as the reels already have foam applied to the back of them), a remote, and various fasteners for when the foam isn't enough. The power module that goes in between the plug and LED tape is your remote IR receiver and the brain that makes everything smart (wifi inside). The length of each reel can be customized by cutting the runs to the length you need (if they run longer than you'd like). The remaining LED tape can be put to the side and re-used with other RGB kits of the same style of tape (they can be normal or smart since the tape itself is just normal RGB tape) with the proper adapters. So no need to excess amounts in the trash (never waste something that can be useful later on). If you have experience working with LED tape, it's a cinch and goes together quickly. The only extra step is downloading the app (Ehome light), and adding the module to the app once it's been powered up. Then you can interact with other devices or set up scenes. For example, if you installed this running across your cabinets in your kitchen, and the kitchen main lights are also on a smart switch that works with Alexa or Google Assistant, then the light switch can be set up to turn both the lights it is connected to on, as well as the LED tape. Obviously, there are so many things you can do. Our only complaint about the app is that they should include images in the app store screenshots that contain English so customers get a better idea of what it can do before they download it. Thankfully, this only affects the app store experience pre-download. The double-stick foam tape seems to be fine, although it won't work in all situations. You want a smooth flat and non-porous surface to stick it to. If you find yourself installing this on any other kind of surface, you may have to find a clever way of attachment. Thankfully, this works in most situations (ie, under the counter, under the cabinets, across the back of a desk, etc). You just have to consider the fact that the foam is thicker than the normal flat double-stick tape that a lot of these LED strip solutions come with (not by much, but in rare situations, this "might" affect you some?). Connectivity to the app seems to work really well and the remote does too, as long as you properly point it at the receiver that dangles from the module. It's too bad it doesn't support the Smart Life app instead, as it is more commonly used for other smart devices as well, but the Alexa and Google options help to fill in this gap. The music feature is a bit more evolved than some of the other products that sometimes only give you three options. This one expands on this feature a little more. If you have anyone with sensitive eyes though, most of the options will likely bother them. All of the other modes are fine though (various fade options) and you have a full color-wheel within the app to slide around to set any specific color you'd like. They are a bit difficult to match the color of a normal warm or soft light bulb for some reason, but you can get so many other colors of your choosing. We liked these a lot. The media could not be loaded. My fifteen-year-old son ask me for an LED light strip for his room for his birthday present. He searched on Amazon by himself and found this one then send it to me. So I cleared it with his mom and ordered it. We installed lightstrip in his room last week. I thought the lights would look better if we had adhered then pointing down but he wanted them installs at the top of the wall horizontally on the wall instead of pointing down. So is his room and his idea, so I installed them the way he wanted. Do you have to be sure because once you put them up, I will take off paint and would not be able to reapply them unless you had it new double-sided tape. But after seeing them turned on the way he wanted, I believe it either way would have looked awesome but the way he wanted them actually lights up the ceiling which pointing them down would not have done. These lights are a lot brighter than I had anticipated. Of course with the remote you could turn down the brightness or turn it full blast for full effect. And that's exactly what my fifteen-year-old son does. He turns them up to maximum brightness. His room was pretty dim before with only one ceiling fan light and a small window. Not anymore! we started both runs from opposing walls and met at a wall and ran the strip down to where an outlet was. And the bottom of the strip in the corner is hidden by his desk. But the infrared sensor still picks up the remote from anywhere in the room. The music feature is really cool. The lights blink to the beat of the light. But they will not detect normal talking. However if you talk loud enough they will blink to your voice. This LED strip reallyhas a dramatic effect his room and I uploaded the video so you can see what it looks like. They like strip includes a lot of extras like a second roll of double-sided tape and 90 degree elbow connectors 4 more complicated insulations. As with any double-sided tape he want to push and hold on the tape 4 is close to 30 seconds as you can. So the installation was a slow process doing 628 inch at a time and then pushing with my thumbs to press the strip I install on the wall. This guarantees better than fusion and you just have to be patient with it. My son healthy strapped up as I was installing it so it didn't pull down what I already had press to the wall. I highly recommend this light strip and now that I'm thinking of it it has a lot of different applications. But my son is super happy with the way it turned out and he couldn't wait to show his friends. ... show more

so today i got these and i am honestly presently surprised however there are a few things i dont like lets start with the pros. The lights themseleves look great it aint as bright as a normal light bulb but they do what they need to and can light up a small room. Putting them up was easy but i would advise you to get some corner connectors they were the hardest to do. Cons The remote could be a little more easy to use for adjustments I dont like the fact that you need the remote to turn the lights on there should be a manual switch on the control box for if the remote goes out or the app doesnt work. The app is garbage everything i tried to do to connect my lights to the app failed and finally i gave up and stuck with the remote still i dont like the fact everything goes through the remote there should be a power switch on the control box for manual control. Overall these are some good lights for the prices but i wouldn't even try to app and i dont like the fact there is no manual on off switch on the power cable or control box still not bad for the price. however i would look elsewhere if you have the money to. ... show more
