I was skeptical at first. I’ve had lava lamps before that never worked. First night I turned this one on, ran it for 12 hours straight. Nothing. Just a blob at the bottom of the bottle that never moved. Second night turned it on, within 30 minutes it was up and moving. Worked great. I had read online it can take some time to get it going properly. You need to do a couple on/off cycles to warm it up. I use this as a nightlight in the bedroom. The light from the lamp lights up the room in a soft blue glow, while the lava bubbles n floats in the bottle all night. Love it! ... show more

Ordered this for my son for Xmas and it worked fine for the first 3 days, but he turned it on today and a spring (I guess it’s a spring?) is now loose inside the lamp. No longer works. And of course we threw the box away so probably can’t return it now. Maybe this was just a faulty one? But if you do order one, be sure and keep the packaging for a while just in case. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Bought it in order to get through post-Christmas tree, dreadful & gloomy January-March days. This thing is slow mesmerizing and delightful for my soul! All three of my kids loved it (they kept staring at it for a long time) and what can I say… I like this 90s/eary 2000s vibe! Super happy with the product. The blue exterior doesn’t quite go with our modern interiors, so I’ll probably end up spray paint it later… but I got this one specifically for the color of the glitter which is not completely silver or blue (has gentle purple/light pink + mix of blue on top of general silver glitter). * the product does come off easily! That’s just how the product is. Very easy to assemble though. ** it does get very HOT after a while. HOWEVER, if you know physics, heat is the exact reason the glitter moves up and down. So if you want motion, it will be hot. Just the way product is designed. *** the video/photo is edited so that the glittering is more or less close to how it appears to my eyes. The color of the outer metal (blue part) is more vividly blue. ... show more
