    • Pretty and functional
I ordered the rose pattern and am very happy with how pretty they are, especially while glowing. However, I don't believe this to be real glass, simply a hard plastic. The top part of the candle appears to be a layer of real wax as stated. The flicker is not the most realistic. The little remote is not operational upon arrival so I cannot rate the functionality of the remote. Hopefully it is just a faulty battery and once replaced I can try the dimming effect and timer function. The candles are easily activated manually on the bottom of each candle so it's not a problem. Overall they meet my expectations for providing a cozy glow in a darkened area of my living room and they are just as pretty as presented in the picture. I gave it to my friend for her birthday! She loved them and had never had anything that had remotes controls before or timers. She loved them . They were beautiful and she placed them on a little cabinet at the top of her stairs.
