I just began using this little appliance and absolutely love it! The first thing I made was a grilled cheese sandwich, which came out perfect - melted cheese on the inside and toasted bread on the outside. Yummy! Per the instructions, I used nonstick cooking spray on both surfaces, which made cleanup a breeze. My second venture was egg bites, which came out fantastic. As other folks have mentioned, the cups are TINY. However, the egg bites are packed with protein and a little goes a long way. I used 3 eggs and added tomatoes, fresh herbs and grated cheese. The end result was 12 little egg bites that I'm storing in the fridge. Per the instructions, fill up each cup about 75% since the eggs will expand as they cook. Similarly, Dash recommends spraying the silicone cups with some cooking spray, which makes them pop out with zero effort. Cleanup for the egg bite function is also fast and easy. The appliance is small, cute and easy to use. It's perfect for feeding 1-2 people. If you need a higher capacity device, Dash makes a larger model that may be better suited for your needs. The only reason why I"m deducting a star is the lack of an on/off switch. Why they didn't include one boggles the mind. It’s the smaller version with 4 normal size egg-bite cups and 1 large egg-sandwich size cup. I added a few spinach leaves and grated cheese to the 2-egg max size for the 4 cups and it fit perfectly - no overflow. I found these more moist and less dense than the vacuum packed bites purchased elsewhere. The plate really gets hot though - my error for grabbing it near the top lid the 1st time operating it. I won’t do THAT again, but worth the taste & will cook these for lunch and dinner too! ... show more

This little thing is so cute and definitely functions, BUT you may have to run it twice to cook thoroughly. It took me a good portion of a day to make about 45 egg bites for my work week and some to freeze for later. It took this long because you can only do 4 at once. Towards the end, I was getting tired of waiting, so I created the same environment in a pan with water on my stove with a lid and some little silicone ramekins. It worked great! This was much smaller than I expected but that’s my fault for not looking at the measurements. It takes a longer time than I expected to cook the eggs. But they taste great and the product works great and is perfect for just one person.

I bought this as a great option dor making egg bites for meal prep and eggs for my bagels. I thought it might be nice for my kid to use without using the stove. The isea is great, it stores easily due to size. The only thing is that it fake 10-12 minutes to cook and egg batch. When there are 4+ members, thats 40+minutes for 4 batches of eggs. This is great for cooking at your desk, or a 10 ish year old whom in yiur best judgment can work appliances like this but your not comfortable with them on the stove. I am a Starbucks egg bites lover, and I've never been able to duplicate the soft, creamy recipe at home using my Instant Pot or oven. I wanted to give this product a try since supposedly "sous vide" is what gives that texture! Overall, this product is great. It comes with some recipes, but I found I had to tweak them a little to get the consistency and taste I was looking for, but I think I got it! I can now make them to taste almost identical to Starbucks, with that same consistency (tips at the end of this review if that's what you're looking for too). It comes with a larger silicone cup and 4 minis. The minis are SMALL...much smaller than I expected. Because of that, if you are using 4 eggs like their recipes call for, you will be making quite a few batches. But no big deal. There is no on/off switch on this. You plug it in, and it's on. The one thing I wish it had was an easier way to take the hot silicone cups out when they are finished. I don't want to leave them on the cooker while it cools off, as it will just make the eggs cook more, so I needed to pinch the tiny handles to pick them up. It's hot! Other than that, I really like this little machine. I used cooking spray in the cups as suggested, and the egg bites fell right out with ease. So far I have not used it for anything besides egg bites, but the instruction manual that comes with it gives other suggestions, like cheesecake. They would be TINY Cheesecake bites if you use the small cups! If you are looking for the consistency and taste of Starbucks egg bites, here's what I did to get it: - I TRIPLED the amount of cottage cheese suggested in their recipe book. - I didn't cook them as long as suggested. I pre-heated the machine and maybe cooked them for 5-6 minutes, instead of 10 minutes. (The machine directions say that if you pre-heat, it cuts down on your cooking time, but it doesn't say by how much, so it's a guessing game of trial and error) Overall, a great little machine that is small enough that it doesn't take up much room in my already cramped kitchen and allows me to save money by not going to Starbucks as often! ... show more

I’m enjoying making the egg bites with things I like. The trick is the more stuff you add the less egg you can have in the large holder. The small ones are pretty make small egg bites. If it is one or two people you are cooking for this size appliance will work great. If you have 3 or more to cook for this size will not make you happy.
