It’s a piece of art, but it can also produce a great top-of-the-stove stew. Or, you can put it in the oven. Best part is it’s lightweight and heats evenly and quickly. Easy to clean. Even cooking, easy to clean. I scratched the bottom with a knife making two indentations. Is this corningware 3.2 Qt roaster still safe to use? Like it very much and would order a new one in its place.

Ok, so I am a terrible cook. I have been trying desperately to improve but well let’s just say some people truly can’t be taught. During my attempt to make homemade sourdough (what was I thinking) I purchased this Dutch oven with child like faith that I would be baking amazing sourdough loaves. Tragically, my journey into the world of bread making was cut short after multiple failed attempts at a sourdough starter. Fast forward a week and my tried and true crockpot died. The untimely death came when I had committed to make pot roast for dinner, one of the few meals that is actually edible and my family actually likes. So I throw all my ingredients in the Dutch oven and slow roast it all day….fingers crossed. Now I have a feeling to any real cooks out there this isn’t earth shattering but to me this was uncharted territory. 8 hours later…my family is enjoying the best pot roast ever. Let’s put it this way it was so good they thought someone else made it…hey for me that’s a compliment. So….I highly recommend this product! ... show more

When I purchased the item I assumed by the dimensions given, this item would be oblong or oval. Unfortunately, the size given (14.48 x 12.24 x 5.83 inches) represents the box size. Not sure why that is the relevant dimensions given. The actual product dimensions are 8.5x8.5x3 so one may want to be aware of this before purchasing. It is a nice product and will probably keep it and search for something that is more to my expectations. ... show more

I rarely bother to write a bad review; usually throw the item away. This pot has a major flaw. I used the first one I received two times, was careful with it, and it developed a deep pit on the bottom (inside). Sent it back for a replacement. The second one, while serving, I tapped the spoon on the edge, not hard, but two pits appeared. Sure, tapping the edge is a bad habit, but in 50 decades of cooking, I've never broken or dinged any pot or bowl. I'm searching now for a better pot. ... show more
