I have lower back muscle issues. I use the ComfyTemp electric heat wrap - well designed and rugged - but I need a portable one so I can take a walk and keep the lower back muscles from tightening up. This ComfyTemp portable wrap is perfect for the job. It comes with a gel pack I can microwave for heat or put in the freezer for cold therapy if needed. The gel pack fits into a pouch on the wrap. The pouch is a bit too small to close with the gel pack inside, but it keeps the gel pack in place anyway. I’ve used it only once so far, but it seemed to help with my muscle issues. Love the quick chilling ice pack! The belt is fully adjustable and very comfortable to wear. Gives relief as long as it stays cool--- a good 30-40 minutes. I've not used the heat feature, as the ice is working fine for me.

This would be 5 stars if not for the edges of the velcro cutting my hand while adjusting it slightly. Otherwise the thing is perfect. I just had a microdiscectomy and need to keep my back iced but am moving around a bit to find a better position or trying to walk as recommended, and I like that you can tighten it as a brace for a little added support if needed. It works perfectly and fits great considering I have a little extra around the middle. If you’re moving gently, it doesn’t seem to move around, though I’m unsure about how it does with higher impact movements. I’m not allowed to try those for a while yet, at which point I won’t need the ice pack… ... show more
