I had an old 11" Teflon pan that I rarely used because it wouldn't fit in the sink and was frustrating to clean. Then I got the idea that maybe I could find one with a removable handle and that's what I did. This is the first cast iron pan I own and I kind of love it. It makes me feel like I'm a real cook! (I'm not. Lol) The handle is easy to attach and remove. It's secure when it's on and the pan fits easily into the sink when it's off. The no-stick is amazing. Even things I burn are easily wiped away. I'm cooking more now than I ever have (mostly french toast, eggs, and grilled cheese sandwiches). I've since gone back to buy two more of their pans in other sizes. And the prices seem very reasonable to me compared to other cast iron pans I see on Amazon. ... show more

First use: got the pan hot with a little coconut oil, tossed in salmon fillets, picked up the pan to jiggle it, and every piece of fish freely swished in the pan. NO STICKING AT ALL. Joy! Fried eggs? Same thing. We LOVE this pan! We’ll be buying a bunch for all the family for Christmas this year, for sure. So, the 12” pan IS heavy, so the elderly might need a 10” pan…..other than that, this is a great addition to our kitchen. ... show more

I bought this pan on a whim. I’m an experienced cook and have 2 of every type of frying pan. This pan is the best pan I’ve ever used. I wasn’t expecting much as I love my cast irons and carbon steels. With both, you can only fry and must be careful not to cook anything acidic as you will lift the seasoning layer that took so long to establish right off. All that nurturing down the tubes. With this pan you need not worry about that. It requires no seasoning and you can cook anything in it, which means you can use any acidic liquid to deglaze the pan and make a sauce from the pan drippings. Can’t do that in a carbon steel or cast iron pan. They have their place in any well equipped kitchen, but have limitations. The beauty of cast iron and carbon steel is the superior heat induction and even cooking. Also, the ability to withstand quick temperature fluctuations without warping. This pan provides you with the best of both worlds!! It’s cast iron, so heat induction is excellent and no cold spots, which is a huge drawback with almost all nonstick pans. And…this pan is the best nonstick pan I ever used!! Straight out of the box you can fry an egg and it will slide right out of the pan!! I first bought the 10 inch and once I used it, I immediately ordered the 8 &12 inch pans! I now use them almost exclusively! But this pan!! You won’t be disappointed!! Two thumbs up 👍👍 ... show more
