With a family of 4 freezing my meat and fresh product from the garden in portion sizes for our family works perfectly in the 8X12 size. Never had a seal issue with this brand and the moist items don't drag liquids as far up as others because of the texture of the one side, I believe. I use these to freeze chicken cutlets that I cut thin. These are perfect. They fit in the freezer great. They seal great, and what I like the most is the little notches at the edge tops, where I can easily open the package. They are not thin.
