If you're like me, you might be wondering if these are actually better than the other similarly priced castors on Amazon. In particular, the metal framed ones with clear wheels that all look identical, from many different sellers, at a price point for every budget. Well, I bought both so I could find out. Short Answer: Yes. These castors are great! Better than the metal framed ones in a few key ways: - Quieter. When you jiggle or move the chair the swivel bearings do not feel loose and rattle around like the metal ones do. - Stronger. The improved, sealed swivel bearing design is an obvious improvement. - Smart. The plastic housing covers the top side of the wheel so your feet can rest on them without preventing it from rolling. (seems like a small thing but makes a difference on something you use every day) - Appealing. The plastic housing just looks better and matches the plastic base of most office chairs really well. I wish the logo on the side were more discrete, but it's only on one side of the housing so it isn't too obnoxious. Aside from those key differences, they are nearly identical in all other ways: - Smooth, low resistance rolling, even on a rough tile floor. - Increases chair height, my arm rests do not fit under the desk anymore. - Pivot smoothly. In Closing: Both types of castors significantly improve your sitting and rolling experience when compared to the smaller standard plastic wheels. Although I worry about longevity, you'll have a good experience with the metal framed casters. On the other hand, you'll have a GREAT experience with these plastic ones.     • Easy to install, and are Holding up Well!!
I got these because my standard wheels were junk and kept pulling up my floor mat. So far these new wheels have been fantastic, they don't mess with my floor mat at all. They glide very easily (sometimes a bit too easily, I can now tell how uneven my floor is in some places). The quality and sturdiness is great so far, I am a big guy so we will see how they hold up, I will update if anything changes. ... show more

They are the best casters I have ever bought. The price is not very cheap but it is worthy. Compared to the damage that ordinary casters can cause on my expensive wooden floors, the price is good enough. There are a few small details on the casters that make it very good, which makes me think that the brand ATOMDOC really makes products. 1.Bracket: It is made from Nylon (PA) and very textured. Not difficult to see that the material is very kind, I like it very much. (In my opinion, the metal brackets or brackets of other PP materials do not reach this level.) 2. Wheels: Wheels are also one of my favorite parts because they looks good with fashion design. The wheels are soft and do not cause any damage to my ground. Quiet and very stable. The damping is also very good. 3.exterior: The overall design of the styling is intimate. The bracket is wrapped around the wheel, and hair or other things that may affect the normal operation of the wheel can be prevented. (My little princess is only 3 years old. Because the wheels shine in the sun, they attracted her. What is most surprising to me is that her little finger can't enter the casters'gap when she touched the caster. They protect my daughter's from being pinched or other accidents.) For these caster, I still need time to experience it.     • Makes a garbage chair into a wonderful office addition!
Well, I didn't purchase it here, but after acquiring a "CRBRON" office chair, listed here for $79 and was thoroughly disappointed in it's design. I decided to rebuild it from the ground up. Luckily, I didn't discard my old office chair after assembling the CRBRON unit. I had to re-utilize the old base, which was steel, rather than plastic and so much more durable without sagging in the middle like the CRBRON models plastic base. I switched the casters, thinking because they were new; they'd be better, but I was so wrong. Switched back to the original casters and it was a little better, but the sagging plastic base was the culprit. Switched to the steel base and it was OK, but the original casters were still dragging, rater than turning, Sought a solution on Amazon and decided the ATOMDOC casters looked similar to higher priced units,but had a unique bearing system, unlike the other more expensive models and I preferred the design. Well, I now have an inexpensive and comfortable office chair, that glides around effortlessly, can lean back fully and feel very stable and for a moderate savings over the more popular and expensive casters. It took a little work, but it turned out being well worth it and the casters are tremendous, built to last and very reasonably priced Thank you for reading my ramblings and Thank you ATOMDOC for such a quality product in these times of cheaply made trash. ... show more

The Best Casters to date!!! I owned several sets now for over two years now. I am a large, tall heavy 400lb man. I used them on uneven floors and carpets, still like new! Very rollable, smooth gliding. As mentioned, I own several sets of this brand, heavy-duty casters. They are the best without fail, after two years and more of use. Note, I have owned other heavy-duty caster brands and they all failed after a year. NOT THIS BRAND. I love them! Thank you ... show more
