The suction power is better 1000% better than my 30 year old food saver. 50% better than my Food Saver when it was new. I charged it overnight using a phone charger and it was ready to go this morning. We are always wasting onions because we don't use the whole onion soon enough so I put some cut onions in a plastic bag which I didn't seal completely. Then I put that bag in the Anova bag so as to keep the Anova bag clean. In less than 20 seconds I had a perfect vaccuum seal. This will pay for itself quickly in food saved, not to mention the extra freshness of the food. I really like the small size for storage reasons. If it only lasts a year, I will just buy another. ... show more

    • Quit working.
Used on four bags a couple weeks after purchasing. Went to use it again and it won’t turn on. Tried charging it and still nothing. Past the return window. Now it’s a paperweight. Disappointed.

I really love this vacuum sealer and its flexibility utilizing resealable bags. The only downside is that it didn’t last very long — about 8 months and it just stopped working. It was very effective while it worked. At least it is not exorbitantly expensive (so far) so replacing it is not bankrupting. ... show more

    • I can now save food longer with the bags and the sealer.
I am disappointed with my order of additional bags. They were advertised as small bags. The sealer came with the large bags, so I was so happy to get smaller ones for avocados, cheeses etc. It didn't happen. This truly does need to be a priority for a new item.

We bought this in July of 2023. It stopped sealing in September. We tried to have the internal battery changed by our local Batteries Plus outlet. However, they were unable to open the compartment. We liked the sealer, but can't recommend due to the short life of the product.

I ordered this vacuum sealer to use while we are traveling in our RV. It's a perfect size and the bags take up less room than plastic containers. Tested it on some almonds, see picture, and worked great. I especially like that the bags can be opened and resealed and are washable. I will send an updated review later after we start using it while on the road but for now is packed away. ... show more
