I'm 4'10 (and 3/4ths!) and find airplane seats so incredibly uncomfortable. My feet don't completely lay flat on the ground so my knees are pulled downward for hours and by the end of the trip I have trouble walking and am in a lot of pain. Sometimes I'm in pain within the first 30 minutes of a flight to the point where I'm constantly shifting and borderline tears. This footrest has SOLVED that problem! I actually flew to Chicago recently and just walked off the plane with the knees of a normal person! Zero pain! It hooks easily to the tray table in front of you and then you just adjust the height from there. Gravity here does squish your feet together, but I usually cross my legs at the ankle anyway so this doesn't bother me, and I'd rather take up less space in my bag with this flexible footrest than having one with a hard, flat bottom. I am 5ft tall and my feet do not touch the floor on flights, which causes knee and back aches when I fly. This product is lightweight, barely takes up space in my carry on, and easy to hang over the tray table in front. It definitely made the plane ride more comfortable, but found there was pressure on the outside edges of my feet due to the curvature of the padding when being used. If there was a way to put a stiff board on the bottom of the footrest it would make the product perfect. At 4'11" plane seats can get very uncomfortable with my legs dangling for longer flights. My bottom and legs can cramp and become extremely sore. This swing definitely minimizes the issue, but doesn't cure it for me. I am able to stay more comfortable for longer, but I still eventually feel soreness on international flights. I got quite a few questions about this and I would 100% purchase again. The height is a bit difficult to adjust exactly as it depends on the structure of the folding tray of the plane you're on. I had multiple different plans with all different trays and I had zero issues with using it on any of them. It was very sturdy and I didn't feel any issues with having my feet up in different positions. On one plane, I was able to adjust it so the support was under my calves and I was able to "lay" down. Size was perfect. It folds nearly flat and I loved the little carrying pouch it came with. I had zero issues with it slipping. It is a MUST for long haul international flights. 2 of my flights were 8-9.5 hours respectively and 2 of my flights were both 6.5 hours. I had zero issues going through security in multiple countries and I was not hassled or bothered by any FAs for having it. ... show more

The quality at first glance doesn't look great, but it's actually pretty good. It barely weighs anything, smaller than a medium umbrella and yleasy to store. It didn't slip og the seat in frotn and it allowed me to rest my legs during the flight. I had extra leg room so it worked perfect. I'm not sure if it'd comfortably fit in the regular plane seats. I was able to use this on a long flight and it worked well. I have used a competitor one in the past that didn't work and this one was a pleasant surprise. The foot part stays flat while your feet rest on it. The only issue I had was that the newer plane had a push button to release the tray table instead of a latch. So when your feet are on the hammock the weight of your legs made the tray table come undone and the tray table had to remain open and rest against my shins. I have used this hammock on a couple of flights now and it has helped me sleep on long flights. I’m 5’3” and it isn’t always comfortable to have my feet touch the ground and my legs tend to swell because the blood flow is impeded. However, I couldn’t use it if I wasn’t in a window seat because it would impede with the potential emergency exits of other passengers. If you have room to move, it is easier to install and adjust.
