Works great and easy to keep clean. I use this daily for a quick snack and even make multiple batches quickly for movie nights. Everyone loves the fresh buttery popped popcorn this little machine makes. The media could not be loaded. I guess overall it's a "needless kitchen appliance", but if you're a big fan of delicious movie theater popcorn, this makes movie night at home more enjoyable (and with how expensive concessions are, pays for itself after a little while). I think I remember reading some other review(s) saying that their item arrived damaged, thank goodness mine was fine. Easy to set up. It admittedly doesn't feel super steely constructed, but should be fine with good care and gentle handling. And yes, this particular unit has a warming light. I haven't tried it out nor seen how hot it gets yet. You'll definitely want to buy this popcorn startup set: Coconut Popcorn Popping Oil (Gallon) -White Popcorn & Flavacol as of writing it's $28.99 and it's just perfect for bundling with this and having great popcorn the night the Bambino arrives. This machine is such a tiny size it fit right on my studio apartment's bar, under a shelf. Despite its teeny size, it's the perfect amount for 2 popcorn enthusiasts. I purchased this machine and truly enjoyed it. I read A LOT of reviews on different machines and opted for this one because of its positive reviews. After about 10 uses, I found a screw in my popcorn. As I inspected, I discovered it came from the roof of the machine. I thought I could screw it back in, but it wouldn't "catch" on anything. I also noticed another screw coming out. Sadly, I was just barely outside of my 30 day purchase window from Amazon. I have contacted the company and will update my review based on their response. It could be that I got a lemon, or it could be an issue with overall quality. I should say that the machine still works, though who knows what came loose and how being loose will affect its functionality in the long run. Hopefully the company will replace the machine as the warranty states. Before the issue, I would have given the machine 5 stars. As far as functionality, it worked great, and I was generally pleased with it. For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting a high quality metal machine, and I didn't get one. The machine is plastic all around, and the kettle seems nicely constructed (which is the part that you really need to be well-made for a lasting machine). The amount of popcorn it produces is perfect for my wife and me, though you'd probably want to make several batches for more than 2 people. My recommendation would be to use coconut oil and popcorn salt - tastes very similar to theater popcorn! Delicious! **UPDATE** The company got back with me in a reasonable amount of time (later in the day) and emailed directions on how to take the lid of the machine off without damaging anything. What I found when I took it off was that one of the screws was completely missing (there are supposed to be 4 screws holding in the motor). The missing screw did not have a spare nut in the housing, so my guess is simply poor craftsmanship. I contacted the company again requesting that an extra screw and nut be sent. **2ND UPDATE** The "fix" Great Northern sent was helpful. Basically you use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the front logo of the machine (do this at the base of the logo piece so as not to damage it). Then remove two screws that are revealed, and finally use the flathead screwdriver to pry off the lid (again, be careful). Once inside, you can clearly see how the screws hold down the motor. GN sent me replacement screws upon my request because one was missing. I haven't had a chance to go to a hardware store to buy a lock washer to keep the nut from coming loose - it seems like this could be a problem in the future. I've probably used the machine 3 dozen plus times. The popcorn still tastes awesome and the machine runs pretty well! I clean the kettle every 3-4 poppings as suggested, and it hasn't had any problems beyond what I've shared here. I still only give it 3 stars due to the quality issue I mentioned. ... show more
