I purchased two 100' strips for my roofline. I am now in my 50's and I am tired of climbing on my 2 story roof every year to put the Christmas lights on the gutters. Now a days I get dizzy bending over up there, and I worry that I may lose my balance and fall. So, I decided I wanted something I could use as permanent lighting. I plan on using the white nightly when its not the holidays, and will use other colors during other holidays. (Green Saint Patty's, Orange Halloween, Red white blue for 4th of July). These sets work perfect. They are very durable, and well coated for weatherproofing. I live in Wisconsin and we get cold and plenty of snow. The kit came with the lights, a remote, clips to hold in place for permanent install and a small end cap to attach to the end if you cut the length. I have seen photos of people drilling through their garages to plug the power source inside, but I found this very unnecessary. I ran an extension cord up to my roof line and zip tied it tucked behind my downspouts. (You can't see them at all from the front. Since I am keeping them up permanently I did buy a small plastic sealed case that the electrical connection goes into for an extra layer of protection, but it didn't look like it was needed because their connection appears very secure. (With our harsh winter I prefer the better safe than sorry route. They were only $5.00 at Home Depot) The lights have an adhesive backing which is working awesome so far. During install I could put it up, then unstick and move if needed and the adhesive still holds. If I was only putting up temporarily for x-mas I would feel comfortable not using the clips. Since I'm leaving up I did use the included clips. They are very small, clear plastic and come with screws. The screws are small, so I was comfortable using them on my soffits. I installed one about every 4 feet, which appears that if the adhesive backing failed, this spacing would still hold the lights in place. I am not worried about them falling at all. I needed to cut off about 10 feet on the ends of each, which was totally easy. Just cut at the cooper connection, put the provided end cap on, and glue it in place. I actually used a clear caulk to hold it in place for extra weatherproofing. The lights look awesome, very streamline look, and bright enough to light up the house. I will add photos tonight once its dark. They have been installed for about a week already, no issues. They come with a remote which works perfect. However, I preferred to download the app remote called Lotus Lantern. It's much easier to use. The nice thing about the app is that it automatically picks up each set of lights and they sync to each other. So I can have both floors of lights doing the same thing, or I can separate the set within the app and have each level do something else. The colors are pretty basic, but I don't mind that for the cost point. Most of the nights I have the lights fade between Red and Green, but once in a while to change it up I use the 7 color fade. I also like the "Music" setting. The app has preset music built in, so you can sync the lights to those songs and the lights appear to randomly change, jumping around to all different colors. I will see if I can upload a video of that tonight as well. So far so good, I actually just purchased a 3rd set, which I will be adding to the steeple peak of my garage. I only need 30 feet, so my one suggestion to the company would be to offer a smaller roll than 50' and 100'. I know I can just cut the 50' down with no problem, but it just seems like such a waste of product. Highly recommend this product. Great quality, great value, easy install, easy use. ... show more

I recently brought this product and I am impressed with it. The lights are waterproof with an IP68 rating. The Bluetooth App Remote Control is a great feature, making it convenient to change Colors. The music sync option adds a dynamic to the outdoor syncing the lights. The 100ft length allows to decorate our balcony, deck, roof, garden, and even our pool area with a single strip. The RGB colors are vibrant, and the quality of lighting is excellent. Installation was straightforward, and the adhesive on the back of the strips seems to hold up well. Just one thing I recommend cleaning the surface thoroughly before sticking them for better adhesion. Everything about the product was great, from packaging to functionality. Installed on roof tiles and have had multiple rains and no separation so far. I did add some liquid tape to electrical connections to keep water out, worked great. Don't hesitate to purchase. Brightness is perfect and using the app gives you a great deal of options on lights, from colors, cycling colors, color change to music and schedule on/off times. Installed these yesterday and absolutely love how it turned out. Instructions recommended the mounting brackets every 40”, I did every 18” for extra security. Set them about an inch from the outside edge of the soffit and it sheds great light onto our patio. Remote is infrared and needs to be pointed at an eye near the plug outlet. Bluetooth phone controls is about 20-25 foot distance. Would have given 5 stars, but wished they could be controlled just a little farther away. Seems like a great product and color as are great! The media could not be loaded. This lights are so beautiful. I will have them on all year for sure. There thick enough to just set somewhere without having to peel the strong tape. The price is great too. It’s so well made and strong. As you can see, I set them around my canopy and they will not bend. We’ve had very windy days lately and they don’t move at all. I will definitely be buying more. (I already bought another one) The best feature is that it has for sounds effects. I take my speakers outside and my lights go so beautifully with the sound. And also, if my neighbors are having music, it will pick it up, and we live in one acre the houses are not real close. You must buy some of this for any occasion. My grand kids love it.
