Firstly I'm 6'5" and 205 lbs. After trying everything pretty much in a 100 mile radius and not being able to afford anything I liked I took a chance and ordered this. Glad I did! The seat height on the lowest setting is perfect for my liking and the seat back goes about 2" past my shoulders which is as good as can be expected from any chair including big and tall ones. Assembly was super simple and took about 25 minutes, that was with the little ones excitedly running around jumping, poking and and grabbing everything. I felt confident in tightening the bolts down without them stripping which is more unusual than you'd think - for any product. As for the metal base mine had no burrs and was smooth to the touch but I can see how smacking it with your ankle would hurt as it is metal. Overall the quality exceeded my expectations. The plastic molding on the arm rests is very high quality and the leather is PU so will last much longer than bonded leather. For me the seat seems a little on the firm side but it feels much better than my last chair. Be careful when looking for similar chairs, there are about a dozen that seem just like this but most use bonded leather and most don't come with the roller blade wheels. I didn't see it listed but the hydraulic lift cylinder is labeled as a class 4. For reference my last chair was a Staples Lockland Big and Tall chair was not as high quality feeling as this and succumbed to the dreaded bonded leather peel. ... show more

Easy to assemble. Looks nice, comfortable, would be nice if it raised a little higher. I weigh about 190 and 6’ tall. Use it at home in a confined area with desk. Like it.

i AM 84 YEARS OLD AND ASSEMBLED WITH VIDEO AND PAPER GRAPH. THE LONGEST TIME WAS PLACING THE BACK ONTO THE CHAIR. YOU CANNOT DO IT LAYING ON SIDE AS IT SHOWS. THE ARMS ARE TOO TIGHT, SO I THOUGH MAYBE I HAVE TO LOOSEN ARMS, BUT IT IS HEAVY AND TRYING TO ATTACH IT AND HOLD IT WAS TOO MUCH. SO MY HUSBAND CAME IN AND WE TURNED CHAIR UPRIGHT AND INSERTED BACK AND TRIED TO ALIGN THE HOLES. FINALLY BY SOME GRACE THEY WENT IN WITH MUCH STRUGGLE. I first want to say I seldom write reviews, I was becoming frustrated searching reviews for hours for a good office chair. I finally found this chair and I have to honestly say all the reviews you read here about this chair are the most accurate. If you want a firm ,good seat cushion chair this is the chair for you. The chair reclines back, has good metal sturdy leg base, wheels roll with ease on low pile carpet in my office. Assembly of chair took me about 35 mins but I was taking my time and assemble it late at night , probably can do it in 20 mins, very easy instructions. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just received the chair today 4/17/2023. The box was heavy (almost 50 pounds) which gave me hope since I'm 6'2 346 #s. Most other chairs are light which led me to searching for a chair of this degree. Upon opening I noticed it was packaged very well. Nothing loose anywhere. Good packaging. First thing on top was the base of the chair and when I lifted it out of the box I knew from the weight of it that this may be a good heavy duty chair. This thing is HEAVY (compared to regular chairs). Seems to be made of steel. I then took out the roller blade style wheels (love them!) and got them inserted. Once I started the assembly process, following the picture only instructions, I knew this would be easy to assemble. Trust me, and to be completely honest here, my wife assembles everything we purchase because I get frustrated easily and she doesn't and loves assembling everything but I did it all pretty much by myself again following the picture only instructions. No words at all but to be fair the pictures are pretty easy to follow and I didn't get frustrated once! I say pretty much all by myself because I needed her help to insert the screws into the backrest where the armrests attach because again, this is a HEAVY chair and it would be kind of difficult to try that alone. Everything about the chair seems solid as a rock except the armrests which are made of molded plastic BUT definitely not cheap plastic. It really does seem to be a good quality all around. Once I got everything assembled, took about 20 minutes,I took the first seat. Again I'm 6'2 346. It feels really good and doesn't seem to flex or pop or anything. Big upgrade from my last chair for sure. When I reclined it back my feet were off the floor so it's definitely made for a big and tall person. Everything about this chair seems solid and well built. They even include a T-handle tool to use on all the screws which was a nice idea and worked very well. I was able to crank them down very well so everything is nice and secure. The material the chair is covered in doesn't have a smell at all which is good because alot of these type of chairs have a strong "pleather" smell but this one doesn't and it's not bonded leather so it shouldn't peel like the other chairs. I say shouldn't because anything man made is capable of some kind of failure. I plan on updating my review after a few months of usage. I work from home Monday through Friday 8 hours a day so it will get good usage. Overall though, I'm glad I found this chair after searching for a couple months reading review after review. When I found this chair there were 46 reviews and the most recent one the guy before me posted, made me buy this chair. It's reviews like this that I look for. I'd purchase it again for sure. Shipping was quick too. I ordered it around 11pm last Wednesday night and here it is Monday and I have it. If you're like me and wanting to find a nice looking big and tall chair that doesn't feel cheap then this is the chair for you! UPDATE: After having the chair for 1 month it's still holding up. Nothing has broken. However, I'm now starting to hear popping noises from time to time and when I roll forward or backwards in it, the wheels make almost a grinding noise. Also, I've had to tighten the screws on the bottom of the chair twice because they have came loose and I cranked them down really secure when I assembled it. I work from home 8 hours a day so I'm in the chair alot. Overall, still happy with the chair but at the price of almost $300 the popping noises are a concern for me. Due to that,I've changed my rating from 5 stars to 4. I will keep updating as well UPDATE #2 The chair is holding up beautifully. Still very comfortable for long sitting. The popping noises have almost stopped completely. I assume it was maybe "settling in" but today is October 16th been 6 months of use and no issues yet UPDATE #3: As of yesterday, 8/30/2024, the chair lift has completely failed. It sinks every time I sit in it. Will not stay up at all. The only position is the lowest there is and that's very rough for a tall, big guy like me. Lowering the 4 star rating to 3 stars now. the chair looks good on paper but its typical trash. It would probably be great for smaller people. It says it supports up to 400 pounds, I weigh about 300 and could hear the plywood in the seat cracking the fist time i sat in it and leaned at all. The seat is self is also really small so if you have wide hips or thicker thighs the arms are going press into and rub your legs raw. ... show more
