I use this knife everyday and it has been great. I use it for chopping vegetables, cutting steaks, fruit, you name it. It has maintained its edge very well so far and I have not needed to sharpen it yet. Still cutting like butter. It's easy to hold, easy to clean, and the leather case was a nice bonus. It also comes with a miniature version of the knife (which I didn't know about). I'm not sure if it is just a bonus little gift or my other guess was it is a "test" knife for sharpening.
