Bought these to replace our expensive knives that were a Christmas gift. These have a nice holder that is flat and sits nicely next to my fridge. Knives are sharp and have a nice design to them. Husband is very impressed as he is the cook in our family. Handle nice and very sharp.

A beautiful set for small kitchen counters, fits nicely on the wall while keeping space for other activities. Sharp and quality, don't dishwash. Also, customer service is great if there are any issues!

Worst knives I have ever had. The Damascus is just printed on the the knives. The handles are just a sticker over hollow steel. They rusted immediately. I returned the item and the customer service was horrific. They only offered 30% and refused to acknowledge they received the item back. Avoid this product and company ... show more

    • Exceptionally beautiful. Exceptionally dull.
I bought this as a housewarming gift for my mother about a month ago. The knives have a beautiful pattern and the block is aesthetically pleasing too. I'm visiting her for the holidays and every single knife is dull; Even the ones she didn't use. I've neglected knives in the past and they never got this dull. I used the hybrid knife to cut a carrot down the center and it didn't cut, it cracked though the carrot. I tried butchering a pepper and and onion using the santoku knife and I had to slide the blade over it 5 or 6 times before it started to cut. I resorted to putting pressure straight down to cut through anything. The knives are so dull that the sharpener that came with the knives is doing nothing. I ordered a 1,000 grit whetstone for her in an attempt to salvage the knives but now I'm contemplating if I should buy a lower grit to at least form an edge before sharpening. Not necessarily a con, but the knives are all surprisingly light as well. My cheap Cuisine Art knives have more heft than these. ... show more

    • Dull knives! Why?
The knives are dull. The chef’s knife and the Santoku both had trouble slicing a potato. I had to saw through it. A knife should slice with ease. Also poorly balanced. Under the questions someone asked if the knives were full tang. Someone (not the seller) said that they were full tang. These knives are NOT full tang. You can tell by the way the weight of the knife is blade forward. The knife block is very attractive but it was not well finished and mine had dents. The cutting board is pretty but really since the knives are not good quality the purchase is not worth it to me. I didn’t even bother to open the other knives this set is going back. From now own I’m buying single good quality knives. I have an Oxford Chef Nakiri knife and it’s amazing. I’d rather have a few high quality knives than a set of 16 knives that are dull right out of the box. ... show more
