First let me say, I purchased this block 5 months ago, so I've givwn it time to really see the quality. I LOVE these knives. They are incredibly sharp, sharper than I expected. I lightly ran my finger over the blade to see, and mind you, I just touched it ever so slightly and the next day I realized that it actually cut my finger. It's so sharp and fine, that I didn't even notice. I saw some reviews complaining about scratching easily but I have not experienced that at all. I hand wash them though. I also must mention how much I love the drawers block. I can't even explain how much I love it. No more digging through a dangerous drawer of knives. I bought these as a Christmas gift for my mom. She absolutely loves these knives. They are way better then her old knives. They are easy to clean. Not sure about scratch resistant. She likes the color. The knife quality is good and they cut well to.
