Color: Sapphire
I purchased this in Sapphire here because it was sold out on the brand website. This stuff is really pigmented so it turned out great on me when I used it to refresh salon blue dye (Pravana brand) that had faded to a light turquoise color. The scent is more sophisticated than some of the other brands of direct dye and it has bond builders already added which makes it feel more like a salon treatment mask. I also liked that the texture is on the thicker end because this reduces the mess that using bright colored dye will inevitably make when trying to do your hair. The type of container is also a huge plus because it allows you to get to all the product without having to either waste the last of it or cut the container open to reach it. The price is about equal to other brands because this one comes with double the amount that the small containers of other bands hold. The only negative I could find is that some of the colors are out of stock alot so if you find something you like and want to touch up with it, there is a possibility that you won't be able to get that particular color. ... show more

I have never colored my hair at home or a non-natural color. I wanted something simple yet somewhere between temporary & permanent. I have been watching Brad Mondo's videos & learning more about his products & doing your own hair. I nervously had my daughter help me bleach my hair from a dark blonde to a very light blonde then we used the XMONDO Garnett Hair Mask. It was very easy to use & even with my hair being long & coating it all thoroughly, we still didn't use an entire jar of it. The picture is right after using it & drying it. I was so happy with the vibrancy & how healthy my hair felt even after just bleaching & coloring it! I'm going on 3 months & I'm not sure how many washes & it's just starting to fade since it is a demi permanent color. (I have bright white lighting) first two are before, Last one is after Starting off, My hair is faded here from another dye. So it already had something to work with. This was on sale for the price I usually pay so I went to give this reputable brand a chance. When I was applying it I wasn’t confident in its ability, it looked too light for my hair, even as already yellow. It turned out better than I expected and the vividness was amazing. Perfect, bright, delicious, banana yellow. BUT! It faded pretty quickly. When I rinsed out the dye I didn’t shampoo my hair but I did the next day. Then the day AFTER i showered with hot water and got my hair wet. (I feel like I was told I could shower with hot water using this brand but I feel like I’m trippin now) But just after those few days my hair was already very faded. So: (1) it fades rather quickly (2) the price is some dollars more than others for the standard (8oz) size. (3) I didn’t feel any difference in my hair that was anything life changing. My hair WAS soft, yes, but it wasn’t anything crazy. Everything into account, I definitely won’t be going out of my way for this hair dye in specific. If I was only yellow for a short time, yes! Long term, this just isn’t for me. But it was bright and beautiful while it lasted🥰 ... show more

As you can see by my pictures, I was a fuchsia (Radiant Orchid by Ion) color to begin with, (which was bleached to pale blonde to begin with) and it was too pink for me. I didn't want to add more chemical treatment to my hair since I have it really healthy so thought I'd give this a try. Simple as putting a deep conditioner on your hair! It worked in my favor that some pieces are slightly lighter, giving it a highlighted look to it. So the Pros to it are: 1. Easy to use, just apply to clean, DRY hair and let it sit for 20 minutes. 2. Color, for me, maintained about 10 days before I noticed any fading from washing it. I washed it 3 times in that period for reference. 3. Smells good! 4. Color is rich and vibrant. 5. Made my hair super soft! Cons: 1. It will stain! Almost everything! I used gloves, and rinsed in our stainless steel kitchen because that's one place it didn't stain. 2. Since shower is plastic, I can not wet my hair in shower. So in order to maintain my color, I have to put shower cap on in shower and wash my hair in the kitchen sink. (But I will say, I love the color so much it's worth it to me.) So, in my book is worth the price, and works amazing! ... show more
