    • The TS408 TPMS tool is awesome! Works great.
The TS408 TPMS scanner is reasonably priced and very easy to use. I bought 4 Autel sensors online from online seller who said he would program them specifically to my car before sending. Once mounted on new wheels/tires it was clear the sensors were never programmed/activated. I then contacted Autel tech support through their website and was very impressed. A real person got back to me quickly by email, and I was actually able to talk to him in person about what tool to get, and the steps needed to program the sensors. I decided to get the TS408 tool, as it could perform all the functions I needed to get the sensors working. Just took a few minutes to clone my original TPMS sensors and get them working. Works perfectly for BMW328i x-drive. Was able to program sensors while already mounted in the wheels and on the car; just need to briefly lower tire pressure to less than10 psi while programming. The TS408 tool is well built, with solid feel and clear display. The menus are quite self-explanatory. While I had the TS408 out, I also used it to scan the OEM TPMS sensors on my Suburban wheels and check their status. It gives a lot of details (e.g. PSI, TPMS vendor, model, battery status, etc.) and takes just seconds to scan each wheel. I took a screen shot of the sensor ID's from the TS408 screen so that in case a sensor fails in the future, I can just program new one to same value. This would be equivalent of retrieving the sensor IDs from OBDII, which this tool can't do. I keep my cars a long time, and figure this tool will be great to troubleshoot and maintain my TPMS sensors. ... show more

i have used this tool frequently and find no problem , it is easy to use the manual is straight forward and applicable with the tool. the tool comes in a protective case and the display is amazing. I am an auto technician and I strongly recommend this tool.

I purchased this product to reprogram and or train new Ford TPMS. The tool immediately picked up the sensors and gave mostly useless information about them. When I attempted to train the new sensors the tool would not recognize them. If you read carefully I pretty much think it will only program their proprietary Autel MX sensors. Unit does not come with magnet. Tech support was no help. ... show more

    • Great as TPMS tool. Not so great in freqvency and strength of signal on remote controls detection.
It works great as TPMS tool but remote control frequency and signal strength works randomly- out of 12 working remote control devices 4 detected frequency and(or) signal strength. I returned first order but second device worked same. I retained device because of primary function which perform great.

I work with one like it where I work and so I got one of my own so I can use it to keep check of my van and help out my friends and family just wish I got the 408s not just the 408 that doesn't do obd2 contact but o will still very handy

    • Won't program Schrader Sensors
It comes with zero instructions. Schrader tpms sensors seem to be what all the auto parts stores are selling. This unit isn't on the list of compatible programming tools. There's $130 down the drain!

Bought this tool as a secondary tire pressure sensor programming and data check tool, but have been using it as my primary tool in the shop. Very fast at locating tire pressure identifications and programs very easily. Have used mainly on Lexus, and Toyotas. But have used on Mercedes and bmw as well. This is an amazing buy for the price.
