  • Smells like a dentists office but works great!
Color: Emerald Green
Used this to dye my bangs and face framing pieces. After leaving it in for around 1.5 hours it gave me the perfect, vibrant, cool toned green that I was looking for! I only dyed it 6 days ago so idk how long it lasts, but since I only dyed my bangs I have plenty left to refresh the hair color when it fades! I also noticed that I was pretty much able to get it off my skin with rubbing alcohol when I accidentally stained it! It also left my hair feeling extremely soft and shiny since this is one of those conditioning hair dyes, I always love using those. It did have a weird, kinda sweet-ish dentist office smell though, and since I tend to sleep with my head resting on my arm, I noticed my arm has turned slightly green, lol! ... show more

  • Bleeds& stains A LOT
Color: Fuchsia Crystal
This is a good semi perm hair color. You definitely get a lot of product so it's worth the money. It smells really good and the texture is nice and thick like a butter consistency which I love. I bought the Fuchsia Crystal color and we put it over previously lightened hair that was dyed to a level 7 red. It did cover the vibrancy of the red and got rid of the orangey tint it had to it but we were hoping for a more mulberry color like it looks in the jar, but it is in fact way more pink & red than it is purple. It's the exact same color as Lime Crime Unicorn Hair Chocolate Cherry, to a T. My client has a lot of hair as you can see from the pictures and one jar wasn't quite enough product for her full head, so we had to improvise, as we did this at home. The extra few ounces we got from the Lime Crime tube was enough and colored the hair exactly the same. Color applies super evenly and is definitely very vibrant. We left it on for an hour. Be aware that this color not only stains your skin, but anything it comes into contact with, including towels and your sink or bath tub. Use Vaseline all around your hairline, ears and neck to avoid skin staining. Rubbing alcohol or dawn dish soap will remove it from your skin. Don't get it on your clothes. It will ruin them. Acetone will remove it from your nails. The color bleeds pretty heavily every time you wash it regardless if you rinse with cool water.. it still bleeds and continues to bleed when you're drying your hair on your towels. It also bleeds significantly Any time you sweat. So Use a dark colored pillow case at night. I would also designate an old towel that you don't care to stain every time you wash. It does fade pretty quickly because it's red/pink so that's pretty hard to avoid. I recommended getting a color deposit shampoo or conditioner to maintain the color Bc it will start to fade after about 2 weeks. Get yourself a good quality color safe shampoo and conditioner to elongate color & always wash in cool water. If it stains your tub... and it will... the best solution to get the color out, depending on what your tub is made of, is using a magic eraser and hot water. I sprayed Clorox bleach on the stubborn stains leftover and let it sit for about 10 min and the stains were gone. If you have a porcelain sink or tub, use a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda and make a paste with it and let it sit on the stains for 10 min and use a brush or sponge and hot water to remove. You may have to repeat those steps until it's gone. If all else fails, use 100% acetone as a last resort. Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Worked for light ash brown hair!
Color: Emerald Green
This worked so well! I have naturally light ash brown hair (exactly the color on the box if you go look in the hair dye aisle if you want a reference) with a decent amount of grey and some sun bleaching. I left it on for about two hours and it worked beautifully! It looks just like the product photos depending on the lighting. Sometimes I feel it looks more turquoise/teal (I’m not great with color names) and in lower lighting my non-greys look quite dark, but overall it’s definitely green and I’m super happy with it. It covered the greys 100% and gave me a nice two toned look. My former greys look bright and sparkly almost like tinsel and my sun bleached anreas are nice and bright. I honestly couldn’t be happier, I’m hooked! I don’t want to dye it back when I go back to work. Smells fine, my husband liked it, and it left my hair feeling fairly normal, maybe a little heavier the first day like if I used extra conditioner. Couple of “cons” that really just come with the territory, my scalp and nails and shower all stained, but after washing it the next day (it says don’t use shampoo when rinsing after application) with a scalp scrubber, my scalp was back to normal. I’m sure my shower stains will fade, but I wouldn’t recommend using an unsuspecting friend’s shower or a bathroom with expensive or white tile just in case. ***Update 3.5 weeks later. My greys and sun lightened streaks are still fairly green. The other areas are still darker than they were before, but not so green looking anymore. I still wouldn’t get away with it at work. I would say 3-5 weeks application isn’t too bad for the price. The first two weeks were really fun. But that overly conditioned feeling persisted making it hard to get my natural wave to cooperate. My hair is fine and doesn’t like too much moisturizing tho so ymmv. I am going to try it again after lightening my hair with a bleach kit to see if that balances out the moisture problem and if the color will last longer. ... show more

  • Great color but WILL STAIN EVERYTHING
Color: Amethyst
I really like the color & hue but it stained my hands when rinsing it out (my fault as I should've worn gloves when rinsing). Also, when I woke up the next morning my face was purple where my hair had rested against it! I have never experienced this when using overtone. It's a bummer because I really do like the color & price. ... show more
