I've been stuck on this color for almost 2 years now. I love this brand. I've tried other colors from them in the past, but this one is my favorite. The picture is 3 days, unwashed after application in natural light. My bangs were bleached, the rest of my hair was not. This took just about half of an 8 oz bottle. Lunar tides hair dye lasts longer than any other brand I've used, I won't need to touch up for at least 2 months. I've dyed my hair for a long time and have used so many different products, brands and dyes and I have to say so far this has been one of the best overall I've ever used. This brand is amazing and I'm going to work through their entire catalog and pledge fealty. Seriously. Just do yourself the solid and try it. Product came in fast, had a super cute sticker and appreciation card in the package, which was well cushioned and wrapped to prevent any possible damage s during shipping. The dye itself was a thicker cream base which allowed for a great saturated pigment deposit in my hair and felt like I didn't have to guess for coverage during application. Dye smelled fantastic too which is always a plus, and ended up being super moisturizing for my hair and any excess easily came off my skin - real chefs kiss moment was there was no staining in my shower either during rinse! This pic was taken like over 3 weeks after I dyed it. Still looked so vibrant. Also, I dyed over brown hair so for it to be that vibrant is surprising. Only thing is that it was hard to get out of my hair to dye back to brown but I should’ve just thought about it more before I dyed it because I’m attached to my natural hair ... show more

Before I did this I had rainbow hair so unfortunately I had to bleach my hair a couple times to even my hair as much as possible, causing it to be brighter and more yellow than I wanted. I usually use artic fox and even when there are a little splotchy blonde parts it covers them a bit more than this did. I saturated tf put of my hair with this product and it's still a little eh. Also it's not very conditioning like I'm used to so be prepared with some leave in conditioner after dyeing. Haven't washed it yet, may or may not update Update 12/2/24: check for the pic with the greasy hair and the dog lol. it's held on way longer than anticipated. I didn't wash my hair for 7-10 days after the initial application, and then about once a week with cold water and Keep Me Vivid Shampoo and Conditioner. I even washed it twice with hot water just to see if itd fade and no lol. I still wish it was a little more blue, but it seems to be slowly fading that way. I've used many of the major brands of semi permanent fashion hair colors (eg, Manic Panic, Adore, Punky Color, Joico) but never found the shade of blue I wanted. Not one brand has a true blue; every "blue" offered fades to turquoise. Lunar Tides Smoky Navy is a genuine blue. Now, it's lighter than the swatch online or on the barn but it's a beautiful shade of navy with a silvery gray undertone. I left it on (clean, dry, virgin naturally silver hair without product) for one hour even though the label states 35 minutes. It rinses out well (foaming like a good shampoo). Oh, it has a light, pleasant fragrance. I don't wear gloves when I use semi permanent dye or color depositing shampoo because the degree and longevity of any staining on my skin indicates how long the dye will last on my hair. My fingertips are very faintly discolored, as are my cuticles, indicating that the dye should last slightly longer than other brands. The color is gorgeous. The shine is amazing and my hair is soft yet full of body. I'll edit this review once I know how long the color lasts but as of right now, I'm very happy with Lunar Tides Smoky Navy. ... show more
