I have been a manic panic fan for many, many years now. I have dark brown hair that has some lighter pieces from a balayage that I had done about 6 months ago. I use this over my entire head. I try to stay away from my scalp but it inevitable gets there because I have a lot of gray which I like to cover with this product. It will stain towels and clothes but I think that is to be expected when dying your own hair. Even though, it takes a VERY long time to wash the dye out, I think it's totally worth it. Color bleeds badly but that's to be expected it's the prettiest red I have ever had fades to a nice pink that still looks pretty red after about 15 washes did it on unbleached dark blonde

I swear to god ive been using manic panic for 10 years now and not one leave in conditioner not even my expensive k18 conditioner makes my hair as soft as manic panic. Idk whats in this stuff. My hair feels like silk. And the red lasts so long

If you’re looking for the perfect shade of vibrant, bright and yet dark red, this is it. It’s the most vibrant red I’ve ever used and that includes arctic fox, punky color, and permanent dyes. This is a vibrant, beautiful color. I get lots of compliments on my hair when I use this semipermanent color. It does bleed if you get it wet and fade every time you wash it. Use gloves or your skin & nails will be red for days. The only downside is that it won’t stick to hair that hasn’t previously been dyed or bleached. So, it does not dye my new growth (virgin hair) at all— see photo. It will stain the scalp, so I try not to get it on my scalp if I can help it. I use a permanent dye on my roots and this product after to get a better result. ... show more

My hair did not come out the shade advertised but that is because my hair was orange when I died it. I added a picture in case anyone else with faded orange hair decides to use Vampire Red and wants to know what it may look like. I wanted to go red but it was too soon to bleach. I chose this red due to the blue undertone. The color came out like a warm, light red, which I am happy with. Orange has left the building. My roots are closer to bottle color.
