  • Safe for Pre-Lightened Hair !!
Color: R57 Cherry Crush (Intense Medium Auburn) Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
This review is long, but if you're truly interested in this color and worried about how it may take to treated hair (which I was, I had to hunt for a review on hair that was already bleached before and it was still much darker than mine) then I promise it's worth it!! A briefer review for people who do not care: good product, I found it easy to use (I put all of the steps into a bowl and used a mix of both a brush and my hands), it is messy!! I thought that was just some people being unprepared for how messy hair dye is, but it is a very thin formula that can splatter so easily. There are warnings on the top of the box when you open it to make sure you get all of the product out from each thing, and I did exactly that, so the end result (it was on for a bit longer than 25 minutes, maybe 45 at the most) is the two reds. One is wet, one is dry. I can't say anything about how long it lasts, because I don't really mind having to touch up that much, but do put a towel over your pillow for the first couple days after dyeing. Okay, so I've been bleaching and coloring my own hair at home (with help when needed) for about two years now, and I don't really use box dyes because I love the bright colors of Manic Panic dyes. I tried them for one color and it became my go-to. I've wanted to go to a dark red for a good while, but Manic Panic doesn't have any colors like that that I thought were close to what I wanted. If your end color goal is Lee Chaeryeong from ITZY (when she had red hair), stick with me because that was my goal, and I actually feel pretty happy with the result. My biggest concern when looking for a dye was the fact that box dye is kind of meant to be visible over dark hair. I have light hair, and I didn't want it to be super bright when that wasn't what my goal was. I'm literally ONLY leaving this review because of the fact that I couldn't find ANY that were over pre-treated hair! I found one YouTube review and I decided that that was my sign, so over two days I got the pink out of my hair and dyed it. If you're just looking to see if it'll work over bleached hair, it works perfectly fine (I'm pretty sure, my starting hair wasn't exactly blonde but it was light enough that I am so, so sure it'll work fine), but I did accidentally leave it on for a little more than the instructions say to! Okay, if you're still reading this (honestly I know nobody is but I do not care) and have a bright color you're changing from, this is what I'm here for. So I started with that bright pink in the picture where my face is halfway in frame, and then I tried some at-home color removal tricks to see if they would help; they didn't, so I resorted to shampooing two, maybe three times for long periods and rinsed with hot water. That's where you get to the pictures where I'm holding up the front and then showing the back- not good pictures, but you get the idea. The pink was clinging to the front pieces of my hair, but it had rinsed fine everywhere else, so the last stage of getting my hair prepped to have a dark (and not pinky) red was to use toner on my whole head. I actually don't remember what level of the Wella toner I used, but I think it was either a) exactly the one that people recommend online for blonde, or b) something really close. I left that on for the correct amount of time and rinsed with some still-pink and mostly kind of purple and grey toned hair, which was good enough for me because I just wanted no yellow undertones if possible. That picture is the one where my hair is almost purple and silver. The next two are the results, the wet hair is right after I finished getting the dye out of my hair and the dry one is right after waking up. I KNOW that that was a LOT, but I really need a lot of guidance myself, so if I can kind of help anyone else like that I'd like to try. OK bye ... show more

  • Worked Out Great for My Hair Type
Color: P1 Saphire Smoke (Smokey Blue) Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
I had read many of the reviews for this brand & color. Was a little worried about my hair turning out greenish. However, from these reviews, I was thinking the bad results probably had something to do with the hair type & prior color and/or processing, because I had learned many years ago from my stylist that many mistakes are due to the layering of colors. First I waited until ALL my previous color had grown out enough to have it all cut off. Then I waited a little longer just to let my hair "rest" from processing. I used L'Oreal for many years to turn my gray into red highlights on my brown hair, using the dark auburn color. It always worked out great for me, so I trusted L'Oreal to do a good job . I processed it the way I always did, by following the instructions in the package, however, I always leave it on for double the time recommended, so that was 40 minutes, as it always was. I was very pleased with the results. It was the right ice blue color but bluer because of the extended time. My hair is a very "fine" type, thick in some areas, but thin in other areas. I had stopped coloring with store-bought color quite awhile back because my grey became resistant, so I waited to write this review to see if it would fade out fast & I'm pleased to report that it has staying power. Three weeks later my hair is still blue. My hair is still soft & manageable. I will definitely continue to use this brand, as it has proven itself over the years. When reading reviews, please keep in mind that hair types are different & prior processing is important to the the results that you will get. ... show more

  • Best color ever
Color: 20 Black Leather (Natural Black) Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Best color of all time. My hair is silky soft after using it and not dry like other colors. I never use any other brand now. Worth the price and doesn't fade as fast as other color dyes

  • My husband loves the color
Color: Very Platinum Size: 1 Count (Pack of 1)
Please read all: loves at the beginning and pro tips in the middle and cons/dislikes at the end. Thank you. *** very easy to use *** smells great, does not have an obxnious chemical smell *** Dyes your hair quickly *** worked very well to dye my hair even over non metallic brand splat ombre pink/violet ( I had that color at the top of my hair) and this brand and shade blue metallic at the bottom (the last picture shows how the color my hair was before it faded out to a gray washed out version of it hence gave me the desire to dye it this time all one color) I decided to color my entire head all in the same shade and it covered very well. } Even though it washes out a bit each time you wash it, I love that you can work in the yard or house and work up a sweat and the dye stays on your hair unlike other hair dyes where when you sweat it runs down your face and neck. You can get sweaty and not turn into smurfette with this brand. } This color and brand dyed my hair the exact color to the box color shades predicted. I've never before had hair color that matched the box but this did. } I have always hated having my hair a dark color but I love this dark color. Depending on the lighting my hair looks dark blue to violet and sometimes dark brown/black in some camera shots without the flash on it even looks normal dark brown to black. PRO TIPS: 1.} Cover your counter in old towels or piddle pads (does stain counters and showers and skin if not washed off asap) before starting to mix the hair dye. 2.} Use lotion> I used the dollar tree chamomile relaxing-sleep lotion. Apply around edges of your hair line widely/thick, apply on shoulders, chest. This hydrates your skin as a bonus but even better when you inevitably as we all do-> The ends of your hair that is coated in the dye touches other areas of your body by using the lotion then when you rinse your hair the lotion keeps it from dying your skin and face blue/ purple. If it does get on area without lotion on it quickly/asap wash with soap and water otherwise your skin will be purple/blue til it fades off. 3.}. Other people says this dyes your white showers I have learned this is true if you let the color sit and dry on your white or light colored showers/counters/walls but if you wash it with water and even use soap and rinse it very well before it dries it will not color or stain. 4.} I did have a few hair strand loss but not a lot. Use the conditioner the kit provides. It made my hair feel so healthy and soft. 5.} Make sure to massage the dye in and even comb through it with a non metal comb then massage in again. This helps to evenly coat each hair strand, and seems to help the dye to work or activate better, and you get a massage at the same time. THE CONS 1.} The permanent color does fade quickly to a washed out color that I absolutely hated. It does wash out a little bit each time you wash your hair. 2.} It will dye your white/light colored towels and will not come out. 3.} It does not color dark hair which is a huge bummer. I hate that. You must bleach your hair to blondest blonde possible before using this brand. It will work on light color hair just not dark hair. 5.} It will dye your skin and showers/counters if you do not heed my tips. 6.} Make sure each time you wash your hair after the initial dying process that you rinse your shower out very well. Over all I will buy this brand and color again. ... show more
