I went from a Herman Miller Aeron to the X-Chair X1 with a headrest. I have been having issues sitting in the Aeron causing back pain, and I found that with the correct adjustments that the Aeron didn't have, the X-Chair fit me great! Also, my back pain has diminished. The one nagging issue I found was the adjustment for the height of the back of the chair. The back of the chair is on a slide that you simply raise to the top to release and lower it. The problem is that the back won't lock at the top, so you don't have the full length of adjustments available to you. I use the next to top height, and find that if I inadvertently lower the chair, I have to play with it to find the right location to lock it in again. My cat has figured out how to lower the chair back as well, so I'm always adjusting it first thing in the morning. ... show more

Not enough support , very uncomfortable had for 9 months thinking it was me , tried all different settings which to me there is not enough' I am 6FT , average weight I thought the lumbar support would help my back , I was so wrong hurts worse I cannot return, I had to beg for this chair cause of the cost my boss was not to happy but I had told him it would help my back since I am in front of computer all day, so he gave in. To tell him I would like another chair well you all can expect what that answer would be , so I have to just deal with it but be for warned . ... show more

Highly recommend this excellent chair. Only reason for 4 stars is the headrest is extremely difficult to adjust. All other adjustments work perfectly and can be adjusted to fit your body style.

Follow the assembly instructions step-by-step and you can't go wrong. However, pay close attention to the head rests as they are not labled "right" and "left".
