    • Nice but with issues
The handle is solid and the vice construction is sturdy. The biggest issue for me is that you have to turn the screw in the opposite direction you would normally in order to tighten/loosen it which has made adjustments where you have to quickly react a big pain in the butt. I have accidentally dropped freshly painted objects ruining the paintjob being held in it because of this counterintuitive detail. In the same vein the pins arent even close to snug. They will certainly just fall out if you try to hold this upside down. They will sometimes fall out if you hold the vice paralel to the ground. They will sometimes just slide out if the vice clamping process put any vector of pressure that isnt pushing them downward into its hole the vice or perfectly perpendicular. What Im trying to say is, you might as well ignore that this thing comes with pins and get new ones, or find a way to tap the holes and thread the pins because boy will you be frustrated trying to make them work otherwise or want to toss this across the room as it constantly drops your workpiece. If you do replace them, and otherwise figure out the learning curve to the unintuitive clamping then this is a great little hand vice. ... show more

This gadget is tricky to use. As someone else complained the screw adjustment feels backwards, so you loosen when you mean to tighten. I don't find that a killer problem. The pins do drop out if everything is not just right, and even when your item (a lead soldier in my case) appears to be securely attached, it can pop off in an instant, but surely all this is inherent in the design, which has been around forever. I've wanted one of these tools for a while and couldn't beat the price but so I bought one but unfortunately the pins do not fit in the holes. I will not be able to use this tool unless I drill the holes to out to fit the pins which I might do or might not.. I'm hoping that I just got the one fluke.
