  • Welcome to the new era of gaming
Size: 128GB Style: Headset + Controllers
You might get a bad refurb, but if you do, meta has you covered. Amazon will only refund you, wont send you a new unit. That aside, this device is going to help me lose weight. Gamers can no longer be stigmatized as lazy now that VR is actually decent and good now, gamewise and graphicwise. Theres a browser you can stream free games in (wow, flappy bird VR!!!!!) And you can do a browser viewing party, the microphone is soooo good on these things. So is the audio. Picture quality is way better than quest 2. This also goes for the controllers, the joystick is so smooth, buttons solid, a little squishy with a firm feel, similar to playstation buttons. They make you watch a very weird intro where the avatars have a very awkward fake cheesyness to them, and they force you to make an avatar, which i think is horse crap. The metaverse is crap, social gaming communitu has gone to the toilet, its like instagram now. Games like eleven eleven table tennis are amazing. Plenty of good games. Graphics are good. This device is worth your time and money, i assure you. VR IS THE FUTURE. ... show more

  • Like New
Size: 128GB Style: Headset + Controllers
First impressions: I've rarely in my life purchased refurbished but to save a few bucks I took the risk after seeing overwhelmingly positive reviews. My model looks brand new it came in a sealed box the headset was very clean. The headset smells slightly like a cleaning product like a slight lemon scent possibly. I see no visible signs of wear. Honestly if you told me my headset was brand new I'd believe it. Now to the Meta Quest 3: So, this is a noticeable upgrade from the Quest 2 with the higher resolution displays, better lenses and full color passthrough. You also have a bit larger field of view with this headset. The image in games/menus is much sharper. This headset also feels a lot more responsive than then Quest 2. That said other than the full color passthrough this isn't night and day differences but it's enough to feel like an upgrade. Nothing was reinvented just everything is a bit better. I haven't put the graphics to the limit on the headset itself yet but as said it feels snappy. This headset also works great for PC VR and that's mainly how I use it. I'm really happy with my purchase so far it seems to be basically brand new, and I saved a good chunk of money. ... show more

  • Direct upgrade and better controllers
Size: 128GB Style: Headset + Controllers
If you're looking or debating wether you should upgrade to the Quest 3 from your Quest 2, you should go for it! By themselves, the Quest 3 has better components, so it can run games with more details and graphics compared to the Quest 2, including the lenses. But because of this, the battery does tend to drain faster. In PCVR, either by link cable or virtual desktop, the lenses REALLY change how everything looks. The FOV is great, and if you have a beast of a PC, you can change it to 120hz. I love my Quest 2, but the Quest 3 is perfect if you're looking for a standalone or PCVR headset, it's also great if you have glasses, and it's incredibly lightweight compared to the Quest 2. ... show more

  • leses are better, headse froze a few times
Size: 128GB Style: Headset + Controllers
The headset froze a few times, and not even long presses of the On/Off button would shut it down. Very Strange. It even happend a few times, I returned it in frustration. Here's my 4 point summary of the Quest 3, (I had the Quest 2, Oculus Go, and briefly tried the HTC focus Vision, before returning it) 1) The Quest 3 is beautiful, with super nice pancake lenses, and the price is unbeatable. (HTC tried to compete but fell flat on their face for 3x the cost) AR function is decent, that color passthrough is cool. 2) The headset is a little narrower than quest 2, so the headgasket and head strap need to be replaced if you're an adult. It was putting too much pressure on my temples. 3) The software is another story. While the Meta ecosystem is full of apps, and plenty of free stuff, I was surprised when the headset froze a few times, and not even a long press of the On/Off button would reset it. There is nothing to do, just let it sit and discharge. Quite unacceptable. 4) Here's the big one: The Meta corp like to know too much about you, so if you're a private person, don't even mess with the Quest headsets and Meta ecosystem. If your kids get on your headset they spy and will determine a child is using it and will lock you're account untill you "PROVE" you're an adult, by demanding 1) a Credit card, and/or 2) taking a photo of your driver license .... what??? No way! That's insane, never put your personal information online, certainly to a company like Meta. I abondoned facebook long ago, and I will not give them any of my private information, they are on the wrong path in my opinion. Comprimised to the core, gattering and selling intel on the citizenry to big brother, like the communists and dictatorships do, I think they sold their soul to you know who. But technology is fun, try it for yourself, you might not care about privacy. ... show more
