This is a great tool - a decade of scummy mess (algae, pollen and mold) removed in a few hours. There are some drawbacks, but I really like this pressure washer. It is very strong and sturdy. Drawbacks: hose very stiff and difficult to maneuver - but beginning to loosen after a few uses. Engine can require lots of strength and pulls to start, even when holding trigger open of sprayer. When it runs right it’s great. Boost valve fell out of the pump repeatedly, the spring within broke into pieces, called customer service and it was terrible, I gave them part number like they ask and it was a completely different pump in their system. Also the machine is decently hard to pull to start it. I would say only get this if you’re near someone to fix it or you’re mechanically inclined. It’s only the second day I’ve owned this machine. I have had many power washers and this is by far the best I have ever bought. It has the power that is advertized and can ve adjusted to a lower PSI. You will not be sorry if you purchase the item. It is the best value for your money.

    • A Real Workhorse At A Great Price
First, let me say that I would give the PowerShot 4400 five stars if the operators manual was much better written. There is so much that the manual leaves out that left me fumbling trying to get this unit to work properly. Fortunately, I found some good videos on YouTube that explained the intricacies of setting up this unit and operating it. Once I had all the information I needed everything went well. I was spoiled because my current power washer is a Stihl which doesn't require squeezing the trigger on the wand, in order to be able to pull the recoil rope easily to get the unit to start on the first or second pull. If you don't squeeze the trigger while you're pulling the rope, there is too much back pressure created by the compression resistance inside the engine to get enough force to turn the engine over. All the videos I watched state that you must squeeze the trigger while pulling the rope to turn the engine over. Other than that, everything about this unit is extremely high quality. The only thing I am going to add to this pressure washer is a PSI gauge so that I can tone down the PSI for delicate jobs. The PSI gauge typically costs between $20 and $30 and with the quick connect feature should be very easy to install and remove. This unit is a beast and if you plan on lifting it, you better be a hefty man or woman. I'm about 160 pounds and in my 70s. This is not something that I ever want to have to lift into my truck. Even with the second person it's almost too heavy for me. So I would say if you're not that strong, and you want to be able to lift the unit occasionally, or with the help of a neighbor or friend, you might want to consider getting something a little bit lighter in weight. I have an aluminum ramp that I bought at Harbor Freight which is 84 feet long and it makes it easy to roll it up and down. I have seen power washers that are no better than the Simpson PS4400 that costs over $2300. I think spending the extra money is a complete waste, unless you are a very serious commercial professional that requires the absolute best. I personally don't see the benefit of spending the extra money. This system packs an awfully powerful punch for the money spent. I am very pleased. ... show more

I started to book some bigger pressure washing jobs so I decided to upgrade from a 2.5 to a 4 gpm machine. I had always used Simpson so I found this machine for an affordable price although it did have a cheaper motor and pump. The item arrived very poorly packaged and oil spilled everywhere. Also the pump had no oil in it although the description says oil is already in the pump. On my first job with this machine the pump blew out and silver sludge went all over a customers driveway. Amazon kindly sent me a new machine (the same one) and allowed me to keep the old one. Fast forward a week and I return to the customers residence that I did not finish the week prior. I work roughly 1 hour and notice a decrease in pressure. I walk to the machine and sure enough two valves have busted and there’s water shooting out of the pump. Amazon refunded my money and I decided to upgrade to another Simpson 4 gpm with Honda motor and Cat pump. Lesson learned: the brand of machine is truly not very important, stick with a Honda motor and either a Cat pump or AR. ... show more

Nice pressure washer. The regulator had to be disassembled and lubricated so that it would adjust properly but other than that it performs well. The cart is very well balanced making moving it easy. Add proper air pressure to the tires and stability is improved. The heavy duty hose is probably overkill and is very stiff.. The wand works good. I have run 8 tanks of gas through it now and it still starts easy. The gas tank holds about a gallon of gas. Dont be fooled because the engine is a Honda. ... show more
