🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Sunny Stepping Elliptical Machine is generally liked by customers, who mention the machine being quiet, compact, easy to move around, and a great tool for intense home workouts. Most reviews highlight the assembly process and recommend using your own wrenches and potentially watching instructions videos to ensure proper setup.

Pros

  • 🔧 Assembly is fairly straightforward once understood
  • 🔇 Runs quietly, especially important for apartment dwellers
  • 🏋️ Provides intense, sweat-inducing workouts
  • 📏 Suitable for shorter individuals
  • 🪑 Stable on flat surfaces like cement

Cons

  • 🛠️ Provided tools are deemed insufficient by some reviewers
  • 🧩 Assembly can be confusing, especially the tension cable part
  • 🙃 A few users noted issue with stability on mats and rugs, recommend hard surfaces
  • 🔩 Some users reported the need for periodic tightening of screws during workouts

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for an affordable, home-friendly exercise machine and don't mind some assembly hurdles, the Sunny Stepping Elliptical Machine could be a good fit. It appears to provide solid workouts and function well once assembled correctly. Do note the cautionary comments about using your own tools and the need for potential screw tightening over time.

  • Inseam is key to comfort.
I am writing this AS I AM RIDING THIS BIKE. And so far, so good. I purchased this a while ago, and as some things happen with health and fitness when you're trying to lose weight you procrastinate and maybe let it sit too long. Well, about a week ago I said NO MORE. I had a baby last year and ate like crap for the following year, gaining 10 more lbs on top of the 15 I gained from the pregnancy, giving myself a whopping 25 lbs of extra weight. So having lost 5-7 lbs from dieting alone for 2 weeks, I hopped on this bike 3 days ago at 158 lbs and 5'5". I have a 38" inseam and that means of my 5'5" I have pretty long legs and a short torso. At the bike's lowest seat height I am very uncomfortable and my knees are coming up way too high into an acute angle. At the second to lowest seat height is where I hit my stride and my legs don't go lower than a 90 degree angle, perfect for riding. Sometimes if I want to be less harsh on my knees, I will go up one more notch in height, but this is when I start having discomfort/issues with the bike seat. It's not any less uncomfortable than my regular bike seat at that comfortable notch, but it's very uncomfortable when I go any higher. So ladies, my thoughts on everyone posting about who at what height will be comfortable on this thing, it's more about inseam than height. Anyone with a 36" or taller inseam will do just fine with minimal discomfort. Other than that, this bike is VERY easy to put together, the tools are included. Took me 20m. It's super light weight, and folds easily and rolls smoothly right into our coat closet in the entryway. It is also whister quiet. Seriously, my husband snores louder than this thing. For what it does and what it is, a super easy and compact exercise bike that gets you sweating, I give it a 5/5. ... show more

  • Solid Design
Even after reading the reviews, I was impressed by how quiet this bike is. I'm mainly exercising at night, so not disturbing the neighbours was an important factor, and I don't even have to turn up the television while I'm riding. The frame seems quite sturdy and folds up easily. At 40 lbs it's not the easiest thing to move around, but it's manageable, and the front support has wheels so you can tilt it and steer with the handlebars. Speaking of which, I absolutely love that this has dual grips, it's one of the only models I saw with this feature and it's nice to be able to switch positions while exercising for an extended time. The seat is rather hard, as others have noted--another reason the different positions are useful. If you have wider hips like I do, you may find your hands are pressed into them when you use the side bars. A slightly wider reach would be nice, but the overall compact design of the bike makes up for it. Some people complained about the seat wobbling--mine did until I remembered to tighten the adjustment knob (it has a spring catch to actually change the height, and then you just screw it into place to secure it). At 5'7" I can use either of the lowest settings, so I can definitely see where shorter people could have an issue. As far as resistance, I'm pretty happy with the medium levels right now--I might increase it as I use it more, but for someone who doesn't cycle much I think it'll be just fine. All parts/nuts/bolts were included in the box (plus tools). Some were in a package and others were already attached to the pieces, such as the seat. The instructions are a bit vague, and the names of the specific parts didn't always match up, but as long as you follow the pictures it's fairly straightforward. Literally, my only problem with this bike is that it's pink and clashes with the room (the company does sell a grey version, but this one looked slightly more comfortable, and at a cheaper price). Already bought spray paint for another project though, so no worries. I'll be sure to update if anything changes, but for now this seems like it was well worth the money. ... show more

  • Decent for the price
This bike ended up being a lot better than I anticipated. It's easy to assemble, although when I opened the box and saw the diagram with all the parts, I did get a bit overwhelmed by how many different components there are to the bike. But overall, it's not too bad if you take it step by step like the manual advises you to do. After assembling it, I got to test it out and thought it was nice enough. It's collapsible, so it takes up very little space against a wall or in a closet. It's also really quiet, so it won't be too distracting if you use it watching TV or listening to music. I'm about 5'7" with long legs and have no issue with the pedals on the lowest height setting, but I feel like if I was any shorter, it may be harder to reach them. I did get a silicon seat cover for the seat and even with a cover to help with the hardness of the seat, wow, it is so insanely uncomfortable. I know bikes aren't supposed to feel like a cushion, but I'm constantly shifting back and forth to avoid how awful this seat feels. My only real issue with this bike is the sensor. Maybe this is just mine, but that the little tab on the back of the sensor that secures it to the bike bends easily and will always be a little loose because it started getting a weird crack in it. Overall, it's a good bike that serves its purpose. Not the best, but definitely not the worst, by far. ... show more
