The media could not be loaded. These are great lights. I don’t consider myself very tech savvy and these were super easy to install for me. The adhesive on the back worked really well. The lights are bright and look awesome, especially when I turn the room lights off. They’re the perfect length for my 55” TV. So.. Do you really think you need to buy these lights to place on the back of your TV? LOL, use your imagination! They can be used anywhere. Check out my photos, they're used for my aquarium stand and seriously amplify the entire living room. It's quite.. Awesome. I've received nothing but awe's from everyone when they walk in the house. I also have these lights hooked up under my 2 year olds's lamborghini adventador $400 power wheel! Nothing but compliments and stares from that one as well.. I mean you only live once right? And you're especially only a kid once right..? So might as well get him something awesome that he and I would enjoy for many years to come. These lights add to that joy mentioned. Okay, on to the lights.. They are perfect for whatever you need it for. The sensor for the remote works pretty damn far as well.. That's a huge plus. It will be placed behind a TV with no problem. Plug the power adapter it comes with in the back into your USB on the TV and it will turn off and on with your TV. Keep in mind some TV's (JUST LIKE MINE) keeps the lights on even after the TV is turned off, but that's only for a matter of 3mins until the TV's power sensor completely shuts off all power to all accessories, including USB ports. Again, some TV's are not necessary powered down until a few minutes later. That's when these lights should turn off as well. One thing I should mention to the newbies, YOU DO NOT need to plug the power into the USB on the TV to power these... any, ANY USB adapter plug will work just fine to plug it into your wall. That's what I'm doing for the aquarium. For the power wheel, I use a device called a "power bank". It's basically a battery that holds charge and you can plug in things to charge phones or whatever you please. So.. You do not need to use the USB behind the TV or any USB in general to power these. You can use your Samsung USB phone charger adapter even if you wanted. Any adapter that has a USB option to plug into works. What else...... That's about it. Product works as expected. Excellent package. Very sticky tape that comes with it for adhesive. Remote comes with a battery. Also, keep in mind everyone.. If you are reading this review about these LED lights then be aware that this review can relate to ALL the LED products you see out there. For everyone brand of TV back lighting has the same situation, as far as not needing to use the TV's USB port for power. You can use any adapter, power bank, Playstation 5, etc. Please, If you found this review helpful hit the "like" button. I have never got past helping 10 individuals for leaving a review yet. I bought the 60 to 70 inch kit (U2M4AC112W-60IN) along with the TV Stand Console (5MAC317W) from Amazon. Both seem very high quality with plenty of setting options to meet your needs. I gave this 4 stars since I think the Amazon descriptions need to be updated with the fact that you may have issues if you install the back-light kit & the TV Stand Console kit on the same wall since the 2 products use the same IR codes/commands to perform different functions (details below). I contacted BASON & they did confirm the issue. They are also updating the Amazon description. 60 to 70 inch kit (U2M4AC112W-60IN) Review...overall the product was easy to install & am satisfied with the product. - The Good: 1) The TV back-lighting was easy to install, even with the TV mounted on the wall. The whole process took approximately 15 minutes. 2) The tape is strong enough on the LED strip to stick to odd bumps/depressions on the back of the TV without issue. 3) The connector strips are long-enough to allow for some flexibility in how you position the strips on the the TV (doesn't need to be perfect). 4) Plenty of brightness & color options to suite your needs. 5) Light can be programmed into Harmony Elite so you can incorporate into activities (nice) - The Bad: 1) While the manual was good, the installation instructions are sparse. Regardless, it was easy to figure out since the strips had arrows / letters that matched the connector strips to ensure you align both correctly. 2) Adhesive paper cover ripped when removing. This is tricky with a long strip, but was able to fully remove the paper covering without much issue before attaching to the TV. Not a big deal, but an annoyance. 3) The strip overloaded my USB port on my TV when i tried special flash functions which causes the light to shut off & I needed to restart the TV to fix. My TV is 4 years old (assume it is USB 2.0) which I think the flash options require more AMPs than USB 2.0 can output. If you keep it on a single color (no special effects) it works fine. This is not a big issue for me since I just wanted a single color at a time - Installation Advice: The remote sensor for the LED strip is located at the bottom of the main strip that connects to the USB power cord. You may need to angle the bottom/connector portion slightly so it will sense the remote commands. I initially had problems with the strip receiving commands, but pointed the bottom away from the back wall & that fixed the problem. TV Stand Console (5MAC317W): - Unlike the TV back-light strip, the cabinet light can be cut a specific points to fit a particular area. The TV Stand kit also has more color and "effects" options than the TV back-light strip. Because of this, the kit will need to plug-into an outlet (this is not USB-powered). - Ultimately, I did not install this kit (returning to Amazon). Reason..after I installed the TV back-light kit, I decided to plug-in the cabinet light strip to test out features before installing. Shortly, I realized that the TV back-light & the TV Cabinet light devices use the same IR commands/codes to perform different functions on the devices. For example, turning off the TV back-light on the remote caused the cabinet light strip to change color. While this might not be an issue if you never change the features (TV light strip turns off when TV turns off regardless), there were enough command overlaps for me to decide this was not the best product for my needs. I did contact BASON & they confirmed the issue, suggested I return the cabinet kit & they are updating the Amazon description. I will probably purchase another TV back-light strip for my cabinet lights (probably the 32" kit). That way, I know there will not be any IR command issues & will also make it easier to sync colors between the TV & Cabinet lights since they are on the same wall. ... show more
