This scooter is very well made. The frame is aluminum, and the deck is some sort of plastic composition, but very stiff and sturdy. The wheels are 5” in diameter which is nice. I selected a purple scooter, but in actuality the scooter is lavender. The finish looks great as well. The stem and deck light up. The wheels do not have direct lighting. However, LED’s mounted on the deck and fork shine light on the wheels illuminating them very well in like colors as the stem and deck. The scooter is easy to fold and unfold, but children will most likely need assistance adjusting the handlebar height as the adjustment pins are rather difficult to depress. The pins are equally difficult to depress to fold and unfold the handlebars. There are also two Allen wrenches included for adjusting and tightening; one being a combo Philips screwdriver. One discrepancy to note: The webpage states 50kg (110lbs) weight capacity, but a sticker affixed to the scooter stem states 100kg (220lbs) weight capacity. This scooter was really easy to set up right from the box. It is super cute, too! I love that it easily folds in half when not in use. It takes 3 AA batteries and there are a ton of different ways the lights work: flashing, fading, strobing. It's so fun! Plus, I wasn't expecting the handle bar area to light up, too, but it does. This is a very nice and cute scooter. My daughter loves using it. I am glad that this is adjustable as my daughter grows. I like that this is foldable after using it. Middle sized scooter for kids. This was the right size for my 7 and 8 year old kids. My 10 year old said that she wished the handlebars were a little wider, but I think that is because she really needs a size bigger/taller/longer scooter, and not a design issue with this one specifically.
