  • It works
Overall it works and delivers a quality experience. High quality stimulus delivery. Best in class connector; with snap in place electronic nodes. Top adhesive that stay effective over time. Reasonable price, value in product. Cons: instructions could be more specifically on the icons and how to execute commands to know when the treatment begins. Etc... ... show more

  • There is a bit of a learning curve
I had an old TENS unit that my father was using back in the late 70s/early 80s. I tried it to see if it would help with the current state of my back pain, and it did. Since it was a very old design it was a single mode with only control over the intensity of the 2 channels, but since it did work I wanted to get a more updated unit. Not only does this unit have many different modes, it also has WAY more intensity within its range. Operating this unit is really very easy and intuitive, however figuring out the best placement options for the pads along with which mode and intensity settings to use is a bit of a learning curve (trial & error). At the moment it seems that the lowest intensity settings are best for the pain I'm dealing with. Higher intensity settings may not feel uncomfortable while the unit on and doing its thing, but those higher intensity settings tend to over stimulate the area and make the pain worse. Just remember to go slow and make VERY small adjustments and this unit will have MUCH greater potential for good results. I also like the way the wires attach to the pads much more on this unit. My old device from the 70s or 80s connected to the pads with a slide in connection that plugged into a little pigtail wire that attached to the pads. This was problematic because when you sit with you back leaning against the seat back of the chair it would tend to pull on the pigtail connection and expose the wire. This unit's wiring attaches to the pads with snaps and it is far less likely that this type of bare wire exposure can happen. So there you have it, and great product with a bit of a learning curve that will serve you well for years to come. ... show more

  • Huge upgrade from the TENS Medicare provided me a decade ago
I got a TENS unit through Medicare about a decade ago and never gave a thought to replacing it until just recently. My old unit still works, I still have patches for it, and I haven't thrown it away ( it never hurts to have backup). But it's lovely to have one of these newer units that's smaller, slimmer, more lightweight, and yet has so many more bells and whistles. Oh, and no more guilt about disposable batteries! This machine is like if a TENS unit and a smartphone had a baby. Pros: Rechargable battery, lightweight, comes with belt clip, fits comfortably in a pocket, can treat two separate areas at once, comes with assorted size patches and place to store them when not in use once opened, has a wide variety of programs to select from in what best addresses your pain/injury, includes the muscle stimulation modality as well as TENS which I personally remember as an aspect of torment from physical therapy but realize is beneficial, touchscreen operation makes it as familiar as your phone or tablet, wide range of power levels to suit preference, ability to lock out screen once you've selected your settings so nothing gets inadvertantly changed, ability to set timer for a wide range of increments and will stop itself at the appointed time. Cons: I may have received a faulty unit but I had an acute injury and no time to muck about with a return so I don't know. But mine has a very buggy screen. When you turn the screen on to select your settings, it will randomly flicker back off at times and then take repeated attempts to get it lit again. It's annoying but not enough for me not to be satisfied overall with my purchase. The only other con I can really think of is that the muscle stimulation stuff still feels like torture to me. But I have a lot of neuromuscular disease stuff going on, and some spasticity, so my experience may not be typical and at any rate things that are good for you aren't always fun and that's just life, so. I would recommend this to a friend. I recommended it to a family member actually. I'm sorry you're in pain and I hope you find the combination of things that brings you some relief. ... show more

  • Yes! Love it!
I have used this twice so far. I do like it. I don’t think the little sticky things will last long I will just make sure there’s no lotion on my skin to better care for the sticky part. The battery is still fully charged, and I used it quite a bit on my shoulders and around my neck. It’s easy to use. I really like it a lot. I will go ahead and order more pads just in case but the thing is worth it really is great. Also, I use it for rotator cuff strain. It does work and I’m so happy for this affordable technology. ... show more

  • Stopped working after 2 weeks
Edit: Haven't had it 2 weeks and side "A" is not working. As a bodybuilder, I bought thisis with skepticism. Ive read the research and there are mixed results. Negative Mostly coming from "official" organizations. I would assume bc if it worked then it would be an alternative to medication..... Big pharm.... Anyway I used it on a recent torn trap muscle. Pain was shooting into my neck and arm. Aftwr one treatment with this device, I literally felt like night and day!! Not just temporary but the entire day! I even went to the gym and still felt good! I also tried it on my abs as an EMS. Which I am very skeptical. My abs where pretty tight. Felt like a light AB workout. Great product. My wife seems to love it also. May buy a second. ... show more

  • Long battery life and many programs
I was pleasantly surprised at the number of different programs to choose and the length of the battery life. It came charged and used it for several hours (over a few days) before having to recharge. The intensity settings are very good too. Almost too strong at the high end, but good to know those options are there. ... show more
