Love the product. I've bought other types in the past but this is better. The battery life has been pretty good and the power/vibration output to the muscles has been great. The durability seems a little low but you shouldn't be rough while using these anyway. It's easy to use and helps with some sore muscles. I recommend it for a after-workout relaxation or to help pump up specific muscles that are hard to excercise. It doesn't have the setting I was looking for but the 24 built in are pretty good. Update 2021: I forgot about this thing! Recently I pulled my back and have tried everything from steroid shots, muscle relaxers, to Thai massages and nothing has worked. I have been in so much pain I’ve had to leave work early from nausea. I then was thinking about this and searched my garage for it. It has been in my garage for a year and I was worried it wouldn’t work. This thing still had almost a full charge on it! I couldn’t believe it. Nothing ever holds a charge for a year of not being used. I put it in my back before bed and it’s the first night I have actually slept in a long time. This thing really does shock you, but it counteracts the horrible back pain. I’m at work now and I can actually move around without gasping. This thing is honestly amazing. It’s worth every single penny! Original: I have a TENS unit I previously purchased at Walmart that came with two pads and was closer to $50. That unit has nothing on this one. I looked through many different units and reviews and this one is hands down the best. I love that it comes with so many different sizes of pads. They are super sticky and comfortable to use. The production description is off though and you can’t connect 10 pads at once. You can do 6 at the most in one setting. Which, to be fair, really is more than enough once you get this thing going. I love that it has so many different modes and options to switch from. I’ve had this unit for two months now and have used it for multiple times for hours at a time and I’ve never had to charge it yet! This bad boy packs heat to it. I’ve used a professional tens at my physical therapist and this is very Comparable to the professional treatment. Except, I can carry the unit in my pocket and never have to worry about it. It’s super light to use and I even go to sleep with it running at times. It only comes with one plastic piece to stick the pads on which is a downside since there’s so many pads. I usually place a pad on each side of the unit since there is only one plastic saver piece. The pain relief for this is great. My sciatica always made me feel like I wanted to take something to my skin and rub the nerves. The pain felt like nails on a chalkboard. This u it helps relieve all that pain without using medicine. This is amazing. I even let my mom try it and she just loved it. She normally had to get monthly shots in her back for pain and she said this unit did a great job and that she even wanted one now. I have back issues. My pain gets so bad when I get it, that i pass out. I normally need steroid shots to heal. My pain hit me Saturday night and I woke up on the floor, i drug myself to bed and couldn't move after that. Since it was Sunday morning I opted to try this until I could go to my Dr. Monday. I purchased this and it delivered the same day. I had my son hook it up to me and let it run 30 minutes on medium. Afterward I was able to walk again. I was still in pain but not excruciating pain anymore. Here it is Monday morning and I'm at work. It's painful but bearable. I'm going to hook it up to me again tonight and see if it continues to make me better. It has made a huge difference for me and I've only used it once so far. Although I have had EMS machines in the past that work well when used consistently and properly, this is my first time using a similar concept for pain relief. I think to use such device, that is TENS, in general you have to have some knowledge of acupressure/puncture. While many people extol the effectiveness and virtues of such machines, I have not had the same effect of "melting" away the pain. While there seems to be some effect on the painful area (lower back in my case) it might be more a placebo effect. I am in the process of learning more about acupuncture/pressure to really see if this machine can be put to better use. However, I think it should work, in theory. My back was at least hurting less, or seemed to be so after a 20 minute session. i remain hopeful that I will become better with it's use over time and further knowledge. However this review is about the machine itself, I feel that there is great value in both the machine and the customer service. I had issues trying to activate the 2 year warranty. I wrote an email, and within a day, I had a reply. But here was the surprise, although there were many little notes all over the box and inserts all suggesting to activate the warranty after which they would send additional free pads, I didn't expect such a speedy service. I received 20 pads of same quality as the original in all the different sizes PLUS a 4 pad cable all within a WEEK!!! Now that's service! I always first judge a company by the after sales service and on first contact they came through without a hitch. I hope, and am pretty confident that they will be there if/when I need them in the future. The machine has 24 settings, 6 different types of stimulation, all succinctly explained in the manual and which settings are used for pain reduction or circulation along with suggested placements of the pads. The 6 types seems to "feel" different from "prickly" to "punchy" to "kneading" and the 4 modes within these 6 different types further breaks it down, the best I can tell, to duration of the "squeeze" or a "prick." Of course all 24 modes can be controlled in terms of intensity. There are 2 channels each independently controlled and you can use 4 pad cable on each giving you up to 8 pads of placement - 4 on each channel. My overall conclusion is, if you are suffering from pain, this technology is well worth a try and this machine backed by 2-3 year warranty as well as free additional pads/cable and a very responsive customer service is solid value. ... show more
