  • Awesome scooter for the money!
So to start this unit feels well built. I put it to the gps and it actually hit 16mph! On a normal sidewalk if almost feels to fast. It seams to have enough of power. At 260lbs it has no problem pulling me up decent hills while only loosing 1-2mph. I ride on it with my daughter and I (probably close to 300lbs. I know over the weight limit) and only looses 2-3mph on those same hills. Battery life is pretty good. At my weight and running on high speed with and having to stop at intersections I still get 10 miles on a charge and more at lower speeds. For the money this is a great first time scooter for anyone. The app is super easy to use. I love that you can set speed limits for different gears so I set the medium gear to match my daughter's electric go kart so it's easy to follow her. To wrap this up do not hesitate tlits a great scooter. ... show more

  • Great value
The good: I think it is well made with good battery life and functionality. Smooth riding. The bad: low power setting is barely fast enough to keep it moving forward so you have to be in M or H. The app will not send a confirmation email so there are features you cannot access due to this. I liked it well enough though that I bought a second one. Very nice scooter. ... show more

  • Super easy to operate, with a few quirks.
As someone who can't drive a moped because I lack the balance and coordination, this little guy (I named him Benny) is sleek, and rides smoother than melted butter on cobbed corn. A couple of minor quirks, though... 1. The light on the charger stayed red at 100% charge. Luckily, I was keeping track via the Leqi app, by periodically powering on the scooter. 2. It was a bit tricky getting the stem to secure. Now that it is, I can't collapse the stem at all. The safety latch is too long for release...which wouldn't be a bad thing if I didn't want to utilize it for traveling in the future. 3. I do wish it had mirrors for when you need look behind you for other types of traffic. Took it for a little ride while at 65%, because patience is not a virtue of mine when it comes to new toys. It breaks pretty hard while on low... which low = 3mph... or walking speed. Gross. Medium = 9 mph, which is more like a jog, and is fine when you are trying to get used to how it works. High is a sprint at 15mph. It gives a nice little breeze while you're coasting a distance. I purchased this scooter for commuting to work that is 2.1 miles away. I'll have to cross one set of railroad tracks, but I don't mind walking it over and stepping back on. So far, this is a great value. I'll check back in a month to tell you more! EDIT: I have now been riding this scooter daily for about 6 weeks. It's still just as fun as it was when I first got it. I have now decided to park it in the carport, and charge it over night. It works just fine. I've also discovered that I can ride over the railroad tracks a bit slow and not have a problem with the scooter disliking that transition. This has been more reliable than some of my past cars. Definitely has started a trend in my mid/small hometown, as I noticed a few more people riding around on them, as well. ... show more

  • Updated review: scooter crawls after 45 days. Junk!
Updated review after about 45 days. Very disappointed in this scooter. Over time the performance of this scooter has just gotten almost unusable—of course I’m outside of the Amazon return period. On flat surfaces the screen says 15mph, however my other half on the cheap Ninebot scooter leaves me in the dust. I can’t even keep up with them anymore. On any type of incline this thing crawls down to walking speed. This is on “high” speed. I used to pass them on flat surfaces, but it has really gotten slow over the last couple days. I’ve even lost weight—I would think performance would be better. It has also began rattling like crazy and it’s hard to tell where it’s coming from. The braking system seems secure and is not engaged causing the bike to slow. It moves freely. It just doesn’t seem like this is a reliable scooter. Will try to contact support to see if there’s any recourse and update the review from there. Otherwise this is a 250.00 paperweight. ——— I got this scooter due to the positive reviews and the fact that there was a coupon that brought the cost down to around 250.00. The features bells (literally) and whistles were attractive when considering the purchase: app interface, cruise control, head/tail lights, max payload of 265lbs, and speeds of 15mph. I previously had a ninebot scooter that is VERY basic and that’s what I’m basing my review on. First, the build of this seems really sturdy! The footboard has a comfortable rubber mat. The handlebars are rubber and just has a good feel compared to the ninebot that I had. Performance wise, this thing is practically unusable on low speed. Literally it would not even go. Medium speed was very disappointing. Only on High did it go. I’m 215lbs, so I figured with a max payload of 265 that it would be much more capable than it is. Even the ninebot with its max payload of 220lbs performed better on initial take off. The scooter is very sluggish when taking off, but once it gets going it does reach the advertised 15mph on the display. (I’ve not measured with a gps tracker yet.) The speed drops down to between 10-12mph going up modest inclines, where as my other half on their ninebot (weighing roughly 190lbs) zooms right on by. Once the incline levels out and speed picks back up to 15mph, I’m passing them again. The brake system is somewhat loud. I really like the handle mechanism, but it literally makes a slight grinding sound. The app is pretty clunky with no documentation. There are a few options that aren’t terribly self explanatory like “null startup.” The instructions option doesn’t work—it doesn’t do anything when you tap it. So far, I’ve done 4.4miles and the battery is down to 48%, so I’m thinking 10 miles might be about as good as I will get if avoiding inclines, which is quite a bit less than what’s advertised “under ideal conditions” of course (supposing that means weighing 150lbs on a flat surface at all times :)). For acceleration the ninebot is clearly the winner. Overall build quality and (eventual) speed is where this one wins out. The tire on this provided for a smooth ride even across bumps. Whereas the ninebot would jar your entire body going over a bump in the road, the mega wheels scooter is much more comfortable and only somewhat noticeable. There’s an option for a firmware update in the app. I might give that a try to make sure it’s got the latest firmware to see if that helps anything. I really want to like this scooter, but just not convinced yet. ... show more

  • Well-built, easy to operate and high quality over all for the price I paid!
I bought it for me initially, but then my teen daughter wanted to use it. She is 4'10" tall. She can ride it freely. At first, she practiced how to start and ride it and get used to ride on the little bumps like at the crosswalk and the sidewalk areas. She figured out soon how to keep driving the scooter by slowing down when she turns the curb etc. She likes HIGH speed setting, but mama gets a bit worried, so I tell her to keep Medium speed. The foot area is pretty long and wide, so it is easy to stand with two feet on it. For the price I paid, I am very satisfied with this scooter and it seems well built, sturdy and easy to operate. The battery life is quite long, too. My daughter told me that people can ride and start it but cannot change the mode without a phone whose Bluetooth is connected to, so I guess it is kinda helpful for preventing a theft from stealing it. ... show more
