Description

Size:medium density These are lots of about 1500 pieces of pre-cut silver solder chips for jewelry fabrication. USA Made and lead-free and cadmium-free; chips are 0.5mm mx 1mm x .25mm; melt 1275 degrees F, flow 1360 degrees; 70% silver; for jewelry fabrication, teaching, jewelers, craftsmen; beginners should have adequate live instruction; grab a tweezer full of chips and set them down on your charcoal block; no more cutting; the chip sizes are excellent to work with and pretty consistent; one customer suggests you use paste flux for a good join; use a small paint brush dipped in the paste flux to pick up and place the solder pallions. This product is cadmium and lead free.

Not that it's bad. It's just not what I expected because the image is a very close up shot that makes the particles look so much larger than they really are. I guess ultra means ultra. I will find a use for them because I just misinterpreted what ultra meant. The quality is just fine.

I can’t blame the product or vendor, I didn’t realize just how ultra tiny this would actually be. So tiny I couldn’t really pick it up with tweezers, and it would not flow. Wouldn't flow at all. I couldn't even get it to melt, both the medium and hard solder. My torch runs over 2000 degrees. A waste of your money. You can find cheaper better. I'm out 50 bucks and super disappointed.

Satisfied with the quality of silver and amount (I counted!!) melted well and was fairly easy to solder. Did not use a plug in soldering gun, used high temp butane cordless soldering tool. Very satisfied thank you!!

I tried using this product for soldering jewelry (like it says it’s used for). I tried for so long to melt the pieces with my torch that reached well above the heat requirement and they didn’t do anything. For the price, it is not worth it. Barely any product.
