The media could not be loaded. As a home cook who loves preserving food and making my own spice blends, I decided to try the Septree 18 Tray Commercial Dehydrator after outgrowing my old, smaller units. I’m really glad I did—it’s made a noticeable difference in my food preservation routine. I've been able to dehydrate a significant quantity of spices in a short time. Most recently I made some beef jerky with a recipe from the included book (it was fantastic) and some candied oranges, also fantastic. It’s huge, but that’s actually been a big plus. I can now dry large batches of fruits, veggies, and even meats like jerky in one go, saving me a lot of time compared to running several smaller batches. The stainless steel build feels solid and durable, and cleaning is so much easier than with my old plastic dehydrators. It’s clear this unit is built to last. The smaller plastic units tend to crack and break easily over time, this one will not. This machine is excellent if you're looking for an under cabinet or in cabinet solution as the controls are on the front. No need to pull the entire unit out to try and get to top mounted controls as everything is accessible right from in front of the machine. One of the standout features is the horizontal airflow system. Unlike vertical airflow models that can lead to uneven drying, the Septree dries everything evenly across all trays. I no longer have to worry about rotating trays or checking on my food constantly—everything comes out perfectly dried. I typically don't do fruits as high as 160°f but they work well at this temp and keep flavor well. I dried oranges and jerky at the same exact time without issue. Another great feature is the adjustable temperature control. Whether I’m drying delicate herbs or making jerky, I can dial in the perfect temperature for each food type, something my previous dehydrators couldn’t do. This has helped improve the quality of my dried foods. It goes all the way up to 190°f, which is more than adequate for all types of dehydrating. Even if you aren't doing large batches all the time, the build quality and complete control of the temp + time make this auch better deal than other models on the market. You also get fruit leather trays and the mats that help keep food from sticking to the metal trays. You also get some containers to store dehydrated goods and a pair of small silicon finger mits to grab the trays out. 10/10 suggest the Korean beef jerky and the orange cranberry turkey jerky. I loved this item, until it failed after 5 months. I originally purchased it because the description indicated that if it failed, they'd send a replacement without having the failed unit sent back. Sure enough it failed. I contacted them for a replacement any they failed to send it. Instead wanting me to replace the circuit board. I'm not an electrician. See the included screen shot of the description which hasc since been changed to read: "LIFETIME AFTER-SALES: Your purchase will be backed by our lifetime assistance. If you encounter any problem, please feel free to send our customer service message, a best solution will be offered to make 100% satisfaction." Don't believe it. They obviously don't stand behind their product, let alone the "LIFETIME AFTER-SALES". Apparently too many failures. Don't make the same mistake I did. BUYER BEWARE! Update: After learning of a delay in shipping the circuit board, the seller made good by sending a new unit that arrived prior to the faulty component. Upgrading rating accordingly. ... show more

This dehydrator is great. Easy to assemble, use, and clean. Noise is low. Drying time is good. Material is good. I have been using this dehydrator for over a month now and loving how my jerky turn out. I highly recommend this unit.

    • Update after 6 months of use
This is a great design and it does the job. We love the unit overall. Like others, nothing at this price point can compete with this product. After 6 months following the instructions, the unit started having problems. Like the other machines similar to this we have bought. It started to overheat and turn of. Needed to be reset. then the fans became far to noisy and it was just beyond help. We contacted the company and they sent parts to replace. However they did not send enough parts. I needed 2 fan motors and they only sent one. I replaced the thermostat and the control unit as well as one fan motor. But the other fan is done as well. After continued contact with photos and vids they sent a new unit. We are now using the new one and again are having no problems. They do stand behind there units, just be prepared to replace parts first. If that does not work they will send a new unit. We use ours everyday and it stays off at night. It is quiet and works like a champ. The size is great with a large amount of square trays. We still recommend this dehydrator over the others. ... show more
