As advertised, this portable DVD player is very durable and last a long time thru rough drops on the floor. We bought this for a family member who has dementia and can only watch movies all day and when has spurts of tantrums, would throw this DVD player on the floor and wall. we were all so surprised of the durability of it. it lasted thru so many tosses. Finally after 1 year; it broke. This is our 2nd purchase. I would say if you don't rough handle it and even leave it on all day an night, it will last a long time. The screen quality is very good and picture quality is as good as you can get for this price point. I would say it is really good. It comes with a remote and the whole thing is user friendly - you don't need a manual to know how to use it. The play, fast forward rewind button is all there. Self explanatory for our grandmother to understand. I rate this brand and quality A+++. and the price point is in the right range.

This is a really fun DVD player. It's cheap yet feels well built, it's played every disc I've thrown at it. The sound is good though not anything special. Functionality wise, it's decent, though it's missing symbols such as the play symbol, which is just text. There is also no pause button just stop, though that isn't really a issue, playback speed is fine, and it has a last memory function. Picture is good but not anything special. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. It's solid especially for its price point. It's light, durable, and plays DVD discs well. Do recommend.

This portable dvd player was a life saver for me! I have a toddler who just so happens to be obsessed with a specific character and television show. I do a lot of driving between sports events with my older children and just driving in general, so it gets kind of hard to keep my youngest happy while she is stuck in the car for long periods of time. She knows how to work my cell phone and loves to touch the screen and press buttons. While trying to keep her occupied in the car, I try to put some videos on my phone for her to watch, but she is little miss independent and has to hold the phone herself. This causes a problem because she has to push buttons and play with it, which in turn, stops the video. Not fun to deal with, trust me. I have another portable dvd player, but that one has buttons exposed for her to press as well. This particular dvd player swivels to rotate the screen and close it to act more like a tablet. The best part is that the buttons are hidden when you close it down, so she can no longer change the video or turn it off! The speakers are still front facing, so the sound quality is still good. Sometimes it's good to go old school and have no touch screen! Now we have much quieter car rides and she stays nice and content. It holds quite the charge on the battery and also comes with the house charger and the power cord for the car as well. The remote makes it even easier for me to change the video from afar. The other great thing is that this unit also accepts memory cards and usb inputs! My other device does not have that ability, so you either watch a dvd or nothing at all (while in the car). With this device, I am able to download some of my kids' favorite shows or movies onto a memory card and they are able to watch them while we are out. One thing to keep in mind is the video format that needs to be downloaded, as I accidentally loaded the wrong format of video onto the memory card the first attempt at using it, and I had not completely read all the details on which files it accepts. After switching it to AVI file, everything worked out perfectly! We will be taking this camping with us next month, too.

I bought 2 of these for homeschooling my 5-year-old and 9-year-old. They are taught primarily via recorded DVD class sessions, so the amount of daily time that both children would be using a DVD player made the purchase an important one. This player met all of my tequirements, and then some: The volume is set to a default that isn't harmful to the children's ears, but can be adjusted to a higher maximum (in the settings), if desired. The buttons on the screen are easy to use, but we tried out the remotes and found that they work much more quickly and efficiently. The screens rotate: this was a featute I thought wouldn't be important, but it has been a lifesaver at times when extra writing or desk space is necessary, and the player needs to be put off to the side. Without the rotating screen, my children, in these instances, would be unable to see either the video screen onstructions or would have to sacrafice ample desk/ project space. I purchased two sets of headphones for the two players, from two diffetent companies, and both work well and are easy, even for my 5 year-old, to insert. The screen resolution is great, the machine, overall, has quiet operation, it will play right away when plugged in after a child oopsed-it and let the battery die over the weekend. The plug-in car charger and game controller (for use with games that can be played via SD card slot) are awesome bonuses. I can find educational games for them without having to buy their own tablets and can control the content of their educational gaming. BOTTOM LINE: After spending hours comparing products, this seemed like the best choice, at the best value, with the best overall options. And it was.
