I bought this to play CDs at low volume for background music while I work. I mostly play classical music on it and there is a fuzzy static sound that is almost as loud as the music itself. It might not be a problem if you play it at a higher volume. The buttons are backlit when you first turn it on, but they go dark pretty quickly when it’s running. All functions of this box work fine, except for the minor fuzz on even clean receptions of radio stations, and the imperfect bluetooth connection. The bluetooth has a periodic "skip' to the audio, which is erratic, but not exactly frequent. About once every 45-60 seconds, but not consistent. The cd player was not tested, as unsatisfactory performance had already been observed. The same, regarding the auxiliary output. The audio adjustment is not troublesome, but is different, compared to traditional means. This unit adjusts the volume via the left speaker cover. The right cover adjusts the FM tuner, manually, in the event one might want to tune by am means other than the scan feature, which does work well. The volume reaches a high enough level too loud for inside my office (I work alone, in my office. No one to bother, but me), but should be just loud enough, for socializing outside. I like the lighting scheme, and have a preference for the blue theme. I do not plan to continue using this unit, as my primary use intended for audio playback is bluetooth. Hello , I wanted to let those of you who are sitting on the fence like myself … the sound is great for cds stereo fm is fair…but I wanted to listen to my cds again .. this is the real deal for that .. can turn it up and still great sound … Happy ..     • A nice , budget friendly sound system.
The KLIM B5 CD player /radio seems to have a decent build quality, and has some nice features for this price point. I will say that I was disappointed to find the clear plastic LCD cover was missing when I unpacked it. I found that the LCD display cover was laying in the bottom of the box, so I it had not been glued on securely before packaging. I was able to glue it back on and it seems to be ok now. I played a few songs using the CD player, MP3's, and with my phone connected through Bluetooth, and it worked great and the sound quality was decent for this price point, but definitely not a room filling, high-end sound quality. I also tried out the radio , and I don't get great radio reception in my area, but I did find a couple of stations , so the radio feature is functional. I also found it odd that it has a non-functional battery compartment on the bottom of the device. It was actually glued closed, but I pulled it open anyway and found no battery contacts inside. It would be nice if it was functional for use as a backup power source for a long run-time. Maybe I'll just use the compartment to store the charging cable. Lets break this up into chunks. Design: It looks good, sleek and minimalist, black plastic exterior, hardware is standard quality, which is a good thing because it works great. One of the departures that is so cool and attractive about this multi radio, is the way you raise and lower the volume as well as skip songs on a playlist/tune the radio, by spinning the speaker faces. That in combination with the customizable light rings make this stand out. Sound quality: I didn't expect this to be an audiophile dream, and neither should other potential buyers eying this radio, but the speakers produce good sound for what it is. Whether using it in radio, cd, bluetooth, aux input or usb, the quality is pretty good across genres. Not great, but pretty good, even a little better than I was expecting. Media functions: Flawless performance here, though radios will always have performance issues if your location has spotty signal. The manual covers pretty much everything you could ever want or need to know about this radio in clear, easy to understand details. Overall it has fast become a staple of daily use from playing CDs to acting as a bluetooth speaker for youtube videos. ... show more

    • Decent portable player
This is a nice little radio/cd player - especially if you're looking for something rechargeable and portable. The radio reception isn't great, but I'm able to pick up the local radio station very clearly and the big city station (about 50min away) with minimal background static. The sound quality itself is lacking. It sounds a little tinny and there's no bass to speak of. But it does the job. I initially liked the controls being built into the speakers, but the more I browsed the radio the more irritating it became. Sometimes it would even skip back and forth in station numbers while scanning slowly, and it's not particularly smooth. The volume control is much better. The battery life is pretty stellar. I mainly got this player as a portable option to bring to the drive-in in the summer, as we like to sit outside the vehicle and it can be difficult to hear. For that use, I'm definitely happy. But if you're looking for high quality sound, you're going to have to spend a little more and look elsewhere. ... show more
