I really like this little trash can for my bathroom. It fits perfectly beside my toilet. I like that visitors can’t see what’s in my trash when using my bathroom. And since I use pads every day, the smell is contained. It opens when you wave over it and closes gently. It has worked just fine since I put the batteries in it. Update 5/30/24. I was so happy with this little trash can. But when I went to change to bag last night one of the hinges broke. I need to find out how to contact the seller to see if I can get a replacement hinge! I really liked this can. It was very responsive & the fact that it vacuums the inside bag to the side of the can therefore there’s more room inside for garbage. I thought that this was awesome. However, its top is broken now. One side of the lid broke off idk how. 🥺

    • Loved this for the 1st year.
I'll leave my original 4-star review below, however, a year later it no longer opens. It tries to open, does the normal blue light signal and you can hear it try to open but it's like it doesn't have enough power to open the lid. I changed the batteries hoping that was the issue but nope it still doesn't work. For about $40 I would expect it to have a much longer life expectancy than a year. Ironically, the return window ended Aug 22, 2023, and it broke down LITERALLY a year to the day after that. The only negative I have to say about this is that it is smaller than I expected. But for a bathroom, it will be fine. I love that I no longer have to step on a pedal to open the can (which never works the way you expect it to). I love that once you place the bag in and put the lid on, it does a kind of suction to pull the bag to the sides and bottom of the can. I found that a normal grocery store type bag is perfect and it still suctions to the sides. My teen loves it and getting her to clean up her bathroom messes has become much easier as she thinks it's fun to have it open and close for her (even playing "open sesame" with it). I know some of the reviews on it said that it broke down pretty quickly but I got it during Prime days so the cost was almost half the usual price and I figured there would be no better time to buy it. If it does break down soon I will come back and update. As of right now though (a lil over a month later) it is well worth the money I put out for it. ... show more

    • Hinge broken after 15 months
UPDATE: I used super glue to fix the hinge and it works again. So I give one more star to the rating. I love this trash can until last week. One of the hinges was broken. I tried to fix it but could not. The plastic quality is not the best. What a shame!

I was very excited when received this trash can. Nice design and convenient operation. However, in less than 6 months it stopped working without obvious reasons. Changing batteries did no help. Also, I did not use it heavily, just once in a while. Do not recommend buying it. Go for mechanical operated can, it will last longer if not forever. ... show more
