I used to do hair so I have a bit of experience when it comes to fashion colors, really just coloring in general… BUT. This brand amazed me… I was due for a refresh so I did have to lighten my hair and start with a fresh clean slate ( don’t do this part on your own unless you really know what you’re doing…). Once I was lightened to where I needed to be I added this CYAN lunar tides to my dried hair & let it sit on for 40min. I was amazed to see that my hair absorbed all of the color molecules and left what looked like white conditioner. This product delivered. My color is so vibrant! I used neon dragonfruit (pink) and aurora green. My hair was pretty blonde to start out, like a very pale yellow, almost white, so take that into consideration when looking at my picture. Obviously, if you have darker hair, it's not going to show up as bright. But, overall, the hair dye looks amazing and covers great! I've used plenty of different dyes over the years and I can confidently say that this is by far THE MOST NEON hair dye I have ever used. Aurora green. Easy to apply, little goes a long way, no heavy smells and doesn't dry out the hair badly. I usually need like 16 ozs to cover it all and only used a little under 2 4oz jars. I usually use ion, wella color charm paint or adore, but was really happy with this. it's so gorgeous on lightened hair. Bare in mind I'm a mom, not a professional so you know this is easy to use. It still shows on the dark brown hair; you just need better lighting to see it. Outside it really shines. Just as a heads up, It looks like silly puddy: just trust the process. Extra statement, I'm a gloves off person and I was really impressed with how little it stained. I'll update after a while to say how well it holds. -Containers have slim openings so brushes don't fit, you need a popsicle stick or your hands to get the dye out. I like this shade, and the brand overall! It’s just not quite neon enough for me. Especially with how quickly it fades I need it to start blinding lol. So I do mix this shade with another neon green from another brand and a neon yellow as well. In order to achieve the obnoxious shade I crave lol. But it is a nice shade all on its own if you prefer not to be as loud as me, which is understandable. The first pic is freshly done (I also added blue to one chunk in order to get a dark green chunk recently) and the second pic is after about 4 washes. It fades pretty badly after even just the first wash. But that’s really most neons. I’ve tried all the brands and I keep coming back to this one as an important ingredient in my color recipe! Also full beat in the first pic lol second I just got my bridge pierced so no foundation lol ... show more

Really easy to apply, I had a previous coral color hanging around so I did an oops box and the next day applied the dusty mauve and I love it, I was nervous because it looked really bright on my scalp and hair always looks darker wet, but trust the process people, this color is great. Alright so, I am a quick shopper even online, I’ll check reviews and pictures and maybe check out a YouTube video to see a better view of the color. I however didn’t notice it was vegan, I tend to avoid vegan products because simply I have not found any that meet my expectations for what I need or expect. I understand if it’s a lifestyle/ethical choice, more power to you, live your truth: but me personally, this brand now added to the list along with arctic fox are thumbs down for me. Arctic fox bleeds non stop everywhere, seems to permanently dye anything but your hair, and washes out in about 3 washes. Now with this product Pros: -it did not stain my skin, that was cool -it’s pretty thick so I did not make any kind of mess apply it, again cool -if you want like a fun little change for about a week, this is perfect because it washes out quick. -it didn’t bleed onto my clothes or bedding, or skin when washing my hair But that’s where the pros end Cons: - I couldn’t grip the seal so I used a safety pin to help me get an end up, some of the product came out on the safety pin and I saw even though it was thick, for hair color it’s fairly translucent. Red flag if you are experienced in regularly dying your hair 😩 if you want a lighter version or very temporary color it would be ideal, but for vibrance and hang time NOPE. -just when I rinsed it out, COLD WATER, and used no shampoo I could tell it was going to wash out quick, and I was right, it lasted about 3 washes total, pretty much gone after the 2nd wash honestly. My hair is not over processed or anything that would contribute to loss of color at that rate. I even use baby shampoo since it’s no harsh chemicals and honestly has helped preserve my colors better than any “color saving” products on the market. Another thing I didn’t favor was it didn’t stick to my freshly bleached roots. Again experienced hair artists know that usually will be the brightest spot, as well as bleaching helping seal color in if you do it correctly in a time period. So PRETTY MUCH if you want something temporary, or you’re wanting to test drive a color but not ready to commit; this is perfect. However if you’re looking for something that is long lasting, this is not it. May be a basic bih but I’ve been doing this for 17 years and have tried dozens of dye products and ion color brilliance I personally don’t feel can be beat. Extremely vibrant color, very minimal bleeding/transfer after coloring and even that just depends on the color, you may not get any bleeding or transfer at all. It also lasts a long time, as well as fades evenly so you won’t have splotchy hair as it fades, you’ll just go through lighter shades of Itself. ... show more

If you have long or thick hair, consider buying 2 of these. I ran out of color half way through dying my whole head of hair. The color itself looks great but I am not happy with the final look due to user error.
