So, when winter loomed and my softball-star daughter needed a place to practice, PodiuMax Backstop Baseball was the answer we turned to. Right from the unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised. It was neatly packaged and even came with a storage bag, ensuring every bit of its neatness was accounted for. The installation was smoother than my morning coffee routine. With a 1/2 pvc pipe, it easily hung from our garage ceiling. The beauty is in its flexibility - choose your hanging style; this net's got your back. In action, the PodiuMax does its primary job well - grabbing those fastballs. However, parents, a heads up! The net tends to rebound quite a bit. A couple of weights in the net's catch pocket served as our savior. It might be useful if future versions include tether points or pockets for sandbag weights. The pitch target? A bit on the flimsy side – room for improvement there. But here's the win – the ease of storage! Love the roll-up feature. Perfect for keeping the garage uncluttered (well, as much as possible). The media could not be loaded. Now this is a really large net and that’s a good thing. However, it does not come with its own stand so you had to find a cross bar or fence long enough to hold it. I like how it comes with a target in at the pocket is deep enough to catch. A variety of different balls and objects. That is thick enough to last a while, and the rest of material seems durable. ... show more

I hung this is my backyard, from a tree branch that's not quite high enough for the net, across a space that's not quite wide enough, and it still works quite well. very easy to set up and take down, although there is some fiddling with the tent-pole like support that goes through the bottom. Can also be rolled up and kept more or less out of the way withthe hook and loop straps on the top. My only complaint is I couldn't really suss out the best way to attach the target to the netting. it seems like I'm missing a trick about how the string is supposed to loop through the little plastic catches or something. I've just been tying it up there. I've tossed baseballs, lacrosse balls, and hit a few full shot irons into this and it stops and cathes quite well. The catch basket is fantastic for checking what's on target versus what's a "miss", but the net does well to stop the off-target shots, too. This was great for my turf backyard where I can't stake in supports for a net frame. It will be nice for all sorts of practice. ... show more

Product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. Regarding the size of this net. It is about 7 ft X 7 ft. and has 5 straps along the top that are used to hang from my garage door opening. The net has a target in the center that can be used to aim for. The bottom of the net just hangs down. This makes for easy setup and take down. The net came with a bag so that it can be folded up to fit within and used for storage. In normally hit the plastic foam balls but have hit some regular balls and the net works well. This net is versatile in that it can be easily set up and moved so that it does not take up room like with netting that has a large frame to hold and is somewhat cumbersome to tear down and put up. In fact I take it to the area park and have hung it between to trees that hold it just fine. Overall I approve. ... show more

This net stops the baseball just fine, but I did find the bottom come up a lot and the ball get past.. I had a down slope so the baseballs kept rolling away.. not the products fault. I have not tried with golf balls.. the netting is a little wide, and I feel that JUST the right hit may get through... so I would double net if doing golf in my honest opinion, like I said, I did not try it though.. I just have no where to try it without destroying my neighbors windows if it gets through. ... show more
