All of the dividers arrived broken. Based on the packaging I don’t think I ended up with someone’s returned item, but it sure seems like it. The broken dividers aren’t a deal breaker for me though. The display itself is fantastic and I’ll just make use of the drawer without the dividers. I’m deducting a star for receiving a defective product, but still giving it 4 stars because I like it. Opening it was definitely an experience. It was packaged very well. I opened it as a Father's Day gift. It looks very nice and we will place it on my whiskey cabinet in our den. I look forward to adding a few more knives. I would recommend this as a gift for someone who is hard to shop for.

Well built and beautifully packaged, this knife display case has not only uncluttered my nightstand but has given me a way to display some of the more special knives I have. Starting from the opening of the box, I have never had anything quite so well packaged. Not only is it a box within a box, but the interior is braced with sections of foam. Now while if something disastrous would happen like, a rouge elephant running rampage through the warehouse or a velicoraptor egg hatching nearby I'm pretty sure those would defeat the excessive care in packaging, but normal travel, it should be good. That's just the exterior packaging, the interior box is easily something that the case could be left in if given for a gift (especially for those of us who are wrapping challenged). The actual display case? The top sections allows a more elegant knife display of up to 7 knives (well more if you use the spaces between the pillars). The drawer below holds even more knives or other pocketable items (pens, knives, coins, watch NOT the soon to hatch velociraptor egg thats really just too big) and it allows at least some organization rather than my go to pile of sharp items. Negatives, only thing I'd like to see is another drawer, but I have a lot of sharp things. Overall a great gift for yourself or someone else in your life. ... show more

This would be perfect, however; the display post slots for the knives are a fixed with. Two of my knives are a bit wider than the post slots so they are not placed as nice as I would like them displayed.

The packaging was amazing! Several boxes, foam incerts, bubble wrap. However, the drawer dividers were broken a way the company could fix this would be to add some sort of protection inside the drawer. I am going to have to wood glue and hope for the best. My husband will love it regardless. I am happy with the product just be aware this could happen!! ... show more
