These look good on my counter and come nice and sharp. They don't have any screws so there is no risk of them popping out and causing an injury. They have a pretty good grip to say they are metal. They cut really smoothly and without having to saw at it. They are a smaller set perfect for basic at-home cooking, especially for those that pick a knife and cut everything with it like me. One downside is that the block can feel a little flimsy and the knives don't sit completely secure due to the design, but that shouldn't interfere as long as you don't plan on moving the block around a lot. The only other downside that I found is that when you wash them you have to dry them blade side down due to them collecting water in the hand. ... show more

The block and knives look great and are comfortable to hold. The problem is the knives are poorly constructed. The tang is not full and is prone to rust with normal handwashing. The knives also do not keep an edge very well and require far more regular sharpening than other brands. If it is a beginner knife set or one that will be rarely used or is mainly for display purposes, it is fine. But for daily use, choose something different. ... show more
