  • Excellent manual alternative to a litter robot
Size: Large Color: Midnight Black
My inner circle includes a lot of fellow cat owners. Some have splurged on litter robots that automatically clean litter boxes. While that sounds like a great idea, those machines are so expensive and they jam and the motors break easily. I liked the concept of how these robots clean, however, by basically sifting all the litter. This Omega Paw litter box is a good compromise, with no electronic components that will break. It functions in mechanically the same way, by sifting all the litter into a compartment, and all the large waste solids get deposited into a removal basket. We have been using flushable litter exclusively, and our cat was already using tofu litter. Tofu litter works great in this unit. One thing to keep in mind is that like most cats, ours likes to pee in particular corners, and wet litter can stick to the bottom of the pan. The Omega Paw includes instructions stamped on the bottom of the unit to "tap" the bottom to release the wet clumps. Well, it's not so much tapping as it is forceful whacking with the palm of your hand. Just bear in mind it does take some more force to release stuck-on clumps, and even so, sometimes we have to reach in with a litter scoop to loosen the really stuck-on clumps. The ejection tray is easy to use and holds quite a bit of waste. Easy to deposit in the toilet (in small amounts) and flush. Happy to see that we got the upgraded model with metal clamps to hold the two main pieces of this unit together. I can see how the older plastic clips would be less reliable. Overall, we are very pleased and will happily purchase this type of litter box again. ... show more

  • Helpful box
Size: Large Color: Midnight Black
So we got this box bc everyone was getting frustrated with the chore of having to clean the litter box. We actually have three cats. So in addition to this box we have a simple cheap litter box. Our cats tend to use the enclosed one for poop and the open one for pee most times. The litter box works well, but I do have a few cons. The pros: saves time and you don't have to scoop the litter like you would a regular litter box. You roll this box over and tap the bottom to ensure all the litter with urine falls off. Once rolled all you have to do is pull small drawer and throw droppings in bag to throw away. Con: once you roll the box over upside down to tap and get all the litter off the bottle, the top of the box on the inside now has litter residue all over so once a cat goes on and uses the box, the litter leaves a coat of dust on the top inside. Once litter has been taken out and rolled back to original position. I usual take a disinfectant wipe to clean off all the walls on the inside. Also one of my cats likes using the box as a chill out spot. ... show more

  • Good quality litter box, self-cleaning works pretty well with occasional scooping
Size: REGULAR Color: GREY
We bought this litter box for 2 kittens, they seem happy with it. The litter area is a bit small so emptying the box is a daily task with 2 cats, but the rolling cleaning actually works really well. If we're gone for more than 2 days, we take the self-cleaning mesh and tray out to give the cats more litter area, which is handy. I like that it's enclosed so there's less risk of anything spilling/splashing out, and the price offers kind of a middle ground between open trays and the expensive fully automated litter boxes with motion sensors and bluetooth. Our cats insist on peeing in the same corner every time so the litter gets saturated and falls apart, I usually scoop it with a shovel about twice a week in addition to the daily roll-clean. As a warning, if you wait too long to roll-clean it, the trap gets overly full and makes a bit of a mess when you pull it out (picture leveling off a scoop of baking soda). ... show more

  • Good in theory…
Size: Large Color: Midnight Black
Major not: Would not get for a large cat!! My kitten is 4months/4.5lbs and fits fine but I can’t see it being a good fit if you have like a 15lb Maine coon. I’ve wanted a cat for years but never got one because I HATE having to deal with a litter box. Well, I ended up with a little rescue baby and was so excited to get this so I could be done with sitting there scooping litter. OVERALL: Kinda disappointed. I honestly had to come check the brand because I thought I bought it from a rip off brand. Fairly simple to construct but it’s built VERY POORLY. Many of the parts do not align and are NOT well secured. My first test run the grate popped out 🙄 The back latch doesn’t align and I have to fight it to get it to lock. The scoop drawer doesn’t even close flush against the box and so litter falls out when you’re rolling it. Also I feel like it would be harder to clean because I already saw some pee smears I had to clean off (yes I have clumping litter) just during the trial run. Downside is I can’t use my litter box trash bag to make cleaning the box itself super easy. People are saying don’t expect much at the price point but it’s a $60-$65 litter box??! I’m not expecting a holy grail but I’m expecting a fairly secure product where the parts at least align! It does roll and collect clumps though. Might come back and change my review once I start normal use. Kind of want to give it a 2/5 but I’ll wait and see. ... show more

  • Cheap plastic
Size: Large Color: Grey
The concept is really great, but the reality is it doesn't work as advertised. The plastic is way to thin to support clump and scoop litter. Have only had this box since January and it already has a large crack in the plastic seam. It is bent out of shape where the scoop tray is located. This makes it difficult to lock one of the clips. When you turn it to get the waste in the scoop tray the litter seeps out on the floor. Have resorted to taking the top off and scooping the cat waste out. Not worth the money. ... show more
